"A Horse with No Name" by America (#27 song of 1972) vs. "Blinded by the Light" by Manfred Mann's Earth Band (#36 song of 1977)
To reduce the chances that two strong songs would meet in Round 2, criteria were used to assign songs to the top or bottom half of the remaining field. I like both, I think Blinded By The Light is a more interesting song. Even more so when Springsteen did it, but Manfred Mann has that cool organ solo.
