I need a synthesizer.

This may sound crazeh, but I want the piano in this video. (Please ignore the singer's dress, kthx.) Clearly, though, that is not so much a piano as it is an electric piano or synthesizer built into a piano shaped glass thingy. So, I shall need to draw myself a diagram and measure and have plexiglass cut and locate some glue and such. First, however, I need the main component: a keyboard. So, can anyone recommend me a good one? It does not need to be especially fancy, nor does it need to have songs programmed into it like the last one I had. The keys should not light up for any reason. I do want it to have a full piano-sized keyboard. The last one I had was made by Roland, but that was in the 90's and I have not kept up with the latest in this technology. I am going to build the frame around it, so it does not have to have any particular dimensions, although a standard size would be nice in case I ever need to replace it. Any help would be hot, Raffers.

Now that is one kick ass looking piano/synth. Make sure you take pics of yourself playing it in bubbles. (is that some kind of quick setting gel/plastic stuff in the upright part?)

You know, I don't know what it is. But it occured to me that it would be very cool to fill it with water and have plastic fishes swimming in it.

OR REAL FISHES! An aquatic piano. Dude, that would rock.

Not to poop on the idea, but you might be astonished at how much that thing would weigh or how strong it would need to be to seal itself from the pressure of even 4-5 feet of depth.

Oh no fish would survive at my house, there's too many damn cats. But I could fill it with water or gel of some kind and suspend those shiny balls in that. Pretty...

I do want it to have a full piano-sized keyboard.
You could look at the M-Audio ProKeys Sono 88 - it is only semi-weighted. There are other keyboards in the M-Audio range.

Otherwise, the Yamaha P-85S 88-Note Graded Hammer Action Digital Piano might be a good option - I have played the Yamaha stage pianos (older models of the same thing) and they are not too bad.

I play a StudioLogic 990 88-note Midi Controller (no builtin sounds) with an external midi module, but that adds cost (I use virtual instruments on my studio PC) - but the key-feel is awesome (very like the Kurzweil stage piano SP2X which use the same Fatar key-bed).

So - some ideas. But I don't like the plexi piano. ymmv
