Wesley wasn't a great character, but Deanna was on the show way longer, and in many ways, was far worse, so I have to say Crusher beats her out. Besides, he at least had that one good episode where he reappeared in that mystery episode of the stunt planes or whatever. I can't remember a single good Deanna episode.

"Face of the Enemy" is a solid Deanna-centric episode, maybe the best.

One of my favorite Deanna scenes is the one with the abrasive Captain Jellico in "Chain of Command," which plausibly (for once?) uses her "therapist" persona, then humorously turns it back on her. This is also the bit where Jellico orders her to start wearing a real damn uniform.

I remember that episode, I think. They were releasing fuel and igniting it during the stunt flying. They were caught, and Wesley lied about it. Such a tongue-lashing he got from Picard. Woooo. It was a nicely done coming of age story and played to the 'Is Wesley cut out for Starfleet?' sub-plots.

Yeah, that was a good episode. In fact it was on the BBC recently. Lemme see if I can recall the verbal beat down Picard gave Wesley for lying.

"The first duty of every Starfleeet officer is to the truth. Historical truth, scientific truth and personal truth. If you can't tell the truth then you don't deserve to wear that uniform."

Also, fun fact, something I noticed for the first time and had to go to IMDB to confirm but I was right. The guy in charge of Wesleys little squadron was the actor who went on to play Tom Paris in Star Trek Voyager.

I just met both of these characters. They both suck, but Deanna Troi sucks a lot more.
