Not sure about this one. First Contact is the best of the TNG movies, and I remember enjoying the Zefram character there, but not much of the specifics. The totally different Cochrane in original-series "Metamorphosis" doesn't mesh well.
On the other side, I never entirely bought into Miles-and-Keiko. She's smart (I liked her stand for education in DS9) and pretty, but did they have any chemistry? Remember how, after they were married, they were unacquainted with each other's food tastes? Bit odd. Also, it always seemed odd that she was written as Japanese, when (to me) she looks to be of Chinese heritage. As Rosalind Chao, in fact, is. I know, this is the 24th century, Earth-nation borders don't matter... but both Miles and Keiko were written to have interests rooted in their respective ethnic backgrounds.
