Swimmy is rapidly outgrowing her newborn clothes. Some of these clothes have been worn by all three girls, because a) they don't wear them very long and b) it's not like they get worn out, what with the kid just lying around in them. The tiny pink gowns with built-in mittens bring back such sweet memories.
So I put them away in a spare drawer for now.
Because we don't need to keep them anymore.
We. . . don't need newborn clothes. . . ever again.
GAH!!!!
A coworker just had a baby Monday. Their fifth. A boy after four girls, the youngest of whom is around the same age as my oldest IIRC.
And I felt a twinge of jealousy.
The same twinge I felt when I looked at the package of size 1 diapers and realized how BIG Swimmy looks compared to the neonate on the package.
So I keep repeating to myself, "We always said 2 or 3 kids. . .three is plenty. . . we don't room for a 4th in the car. . . a boy would cause bedroom sharing problems . . . Husband would never go for it anyway. . . besides if you had a 4th you'd only want to go for five and before you know it you'd have your own Discovery show. . . " on a loop. And I filled my BCP prescription.
But DAMN I love me some babies.
