Okayama 2009!

A few years ago, I spent a little over a month in the loving care of Kake Gakuen, an Okayama, Japan-based educational institution comprising around 20-30 universities and secondary/vocational schools. While there, I made quite a few friends, most of whom I haven't seen in over two years.
This Friday is Vernal Equinox Day, a national holiday in Japan, so I'm taking a day of paid leave on Monday, giving me a much-needed 4-day weekend. So...
I'm going back! Okayama is way down in the southwest buttcrack of Japan, so the train ride is going to take about six hours and cost about 130 dollars one-way, but it will be worth it to see the old Kake Krew again.
Okayama City has a few famous sights, including Okayama Castle and the adjacent Kourakuen Gardens, not to mention everything from temples and shrines to sleaze bars and discos, so I'll definitely be posting photographs/updates of my trip. Keep checking back over this next weekend or so and I'll share with you what I can!
