Kidney Kronicles Part II

I have a diagnosis. What I have is:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Focal_s...erulosclerosis
Or at least I think that's it. My Dr. is an Indian gentleman and it was kind of hard to catch the exact phrase he used. I'll know with 100% certainty when I see him in two weeks.
What I know from our phone conversation is that in 1/3 of the cases the problem goes away, 1/3 requires more aggressive treatment in the form of cytotoxic medication and 1/3 leads to renal failure. At my visit, I'll be put on ACE inhibitor medication to further reduce the protein loss and we'll monitor the problem closely for the next 3 to 6 months to how things go. I assume I'll have to fairly frequent lab work. He also said that renal cancer is very rare (something like 5% to 10% of the cases) and in the absence of any other indicators, it's not something to worry about.
On one hand, I'm happy to have a diagnosis, but OTOH, it's not going away any time soon.
