Swans are incongruous little critters. As adults, they're bywords for grace and elegance but, as babies, they look like little dishmops.

I'm biased, but I reckon the larger size on Flickr is a bit better than the smaller thumbnail here.

We've been seeing signs of the change of seasons for a while now, but it looks like spring is definitely here now.



We have lots of fruit trees - mostly apple, but some peach, pear, nashi and plum trees as well. I don't know which one this is (I've never actually seen it bear fruit), but maybe this spring I'll get lucky and find out.
