The title isn't completely accurate. The table is built. It isn't finished yet, but it will be soon. The construction phase is done and some of that was previously posted. I skipped over the sanding phase because even though I consider it the most important part of a project, it's boring. In a thread somewhere I mentioned that I don't believe in over sanding. True to that philosophy, I stopped sanding at 150-grit. When this table is done and sitting in my kitchen, I defy anyone to tell me...

This is not going to be a pen. In fact, it is one of my more ambitious projects in many years. When it's finished, it will be a granite topped kitchen table. Small, too be sure, but I only have a small kitchen. The wood is Jatoba, sometimes known as Brazilian cherry although I don't know why. It isn't part of the cherry tree species, and except for some boards having a color resemblance, it has none of the same characteristics...

For this pen, I removed the center band and changed the proportions of the pen blanks. I think it gives it a more modernistic style, but what do I know...

Here are three pens, all the same style but dressed differently. The pen in the center, which sort of looks like it was made from smoke, is an acrylic. The white band repairs the part that broke off while I was drilling the hole. A pretty blank, but difficult...
