I'm thinking I want to raffle off a pen this coming Christmas, and I'm thinking this would be a good one for the prize because of the colors. I had thought about maybe hooking it up as a grand prize in the Smilie Wars charity donations, but thinking of some way to do that made my brain hurt. If someone wants to come up with an idea that's acceptable to me and Raffer Cabinet, I'll consider it. Of course, I can't speak for Them.

I may soon have the opportunity to teach another Raffer how to turn a pen. These are the blanks I'm going to let her choose from:

For various reasons, cold shop, Christmas holidays, seasonal malaise, or something else entirely, I haven't made a pen since about the first of December. I took care of that last week, finishing this pen yesterday. It's nothing particularly special, but it's nice to be working in the shop again.

These were supposed to be in the preceeding entry. The last batch of ornaments for this season...they aren't late, they're getting a head start on next Christmas

I've mentioned mini-ornaments a few times on the board...this is a sample of some I've done. Someday I'll learn how to make the fancy wooden ones.
