severe delays

There's a bit of a leap as I've been forgetting to keep things up to date and have just been scribblign down numbers on scraps of paper instead. Currently I'm at 17.85 and here's a swift recap of my virtual movements over the last few days:

I was camped out on the doorstep of Chenies Manor and then on Friday did a measly 0.6 mile toddle across country to Wyburn Wood which was apparently described as "the happiest place to live" by the Prime Minister in 2005. Who knows....

Tiny walk of 0.75 miles today. So little it barely feels worthwhile mentioning. But on the virtual walk it means I'd have passed right by Chenies Manor House which dates back to the 15th century.



While it's undoubtedly a lovely house I can't help thinking that a stroll in the gardens might have helped me walk a bit further.

On today's virtual walk I managed 2.2 miles. That took me from the lovely forest and around Flaunden Bottom. I swear I didn't make that name up. I ended up near the River Chess. More marching tomorrow!

It's near a small town called Chesham just north of London. It's about as far out of London you can go and still be on the tube. And it's a rather special run.
