Dr. Seuss Mafia -- Day Eight, Game Over
Suburban Plankton Who, Vanilla Town, has been slain overnight.
However... Everyone wakes up to realize there's a star upon thars. Well, everyone except Bob. Some of the stars are old, some new, and as each of you reaches out to touch your stars... ...you explode. mlerose, the Star-Bellied Sneech, Third Party Mad Bomber has won the game. |

I'd like to thank Dirx, for being scum with me waaaay back in the House game and teaching me quite a bit about mafia strategery. Also, it looks like I broke my streak, because the game is over and I actually FINALLY HAVE A JOB INTERVIEW!

Paint a star on your belly for good luck. If you want to ensure you get the job, you may have to paint one on the interviewer's belly as well.

My wincon was to have at least everyone with a starred belly at game end save one. My PM really did say that I didn't know if I had a star on my belly or not, and I didn't know if I needed to be alive at game end in order to steal the win. Having read the spoiler boards now, it looks like I did need to be alive. And my belly was, in fact, starred. I guess I won because Moody Mitchy (the sole remaining scum) offed SP instead of me.
I didn't think I had a shot, because I missed out on a star on night one, my star target (Zeener) got killed on Night 2, and I lost the stars for Hockey Monkey and Suburban Plankton because they died/were lynched. Also, I won because you guys didn't lynch me. I think Hockey Monkey played a role in my win, because I claimed Survivor first and she called me out on it rather than sitting back and letting me get away with it. |

Very well done, Mlerose. I knew we should have offed you yesterDay!
How come I don't have a star? I was just a plain Vanilla Who. And as Squink says, how, exactly, did she win? And, Mlerose ... good luck on the interview! I hope it goes your way!

As it turned out, you couldn't have starred Giraffe anyway, as romola's protection prevented all other Night actions from working on him.
Which I couldn't tell you at the time. |

As mle said, Moody was the remaining Scum, and he'd really had a shot -- if y'all had lynched mle yesterDay he could potentially have pulled it off.
Also, Idle can continue to play Mafia, as Moody was one of his two "are scum or I quit" players. ![]() |

Sis, is it kosher for you to post the links to the Scum board? If not, can you send them to me?
Thanks.

In fact, I thought it helped moody, when it really cost us the game. You would have been confirmed 3rd party at the end. Of course that would have been cool, you could have decided the winner! |

I have to say, Ed ... you were absolutely awesome the last 2 Days or so you were alive. That was an impressive display of BS, and told so convincingly, too.

I was just mistaken. I thought my claim was safe. I assumed that Giraffe was a 3rd party liar. When Romola flipped as paranoid doc, I assumed that either: 1. Giraffe had been blocktected and so wouldn't have any results. 2. We had successfully redirected him on to himself and so he shouldn't have any useful results. I was sure I'd get a bit of Townie Cred when he came up as 3rd party and my 'results' were confirmed. Of course, that didn't pan out the way it should, and then....I had to tap dance as fast as I could to live as long as possible. Hell, I got the Cop lynched and you still almost let me live the next Day. Of course, if you had let me live, mlerose wouldn't have won |

Good game everyone...
After Idles statement I really wanted to be TOWN ![]() BobArrgh.... so you'd have gone after me rather than a claimed 3rd party... how good might that have made you look .. And Peek had the order of the kills the same as me ... I was going to say that SP's death didn't prove anything about HB. HB could have been a one shot SCUM investagative role looking for TOWN power to Night kill Thanks Sister Coyote for the game and can I just say how glad I was all vanilla TOWN were plain who's when it came to claiming. |

thanks for a great game, sis. and [b]scumbot[b], even though we didn't win it was the usual yuckles and chuckles being in cahoots with you. |

An Ending Poem.
mlerose was the Star-bellied Sneetch
to think that she'd win was quite a big reach. After all, a third-party (and mad bomber at that) likely won't win - you know it's a fact. Yet despite her role claim (which was countered, no less!) And her name claim as well - we confess, we're impressed that the Player For Keeps, Ms. mlerose won the game, set and match, which just goes to shows that you can't count on anything, not in this game What with all the great players and a great Mod by the name Of Sister Coyote, no less, so three cheers for all! What a great game. Well done by all! Last edited by DogMom; 15th February 2011 at 07:54 AM. |

This was one of the more fun games.
Really well designed, Sister, and really fun to play in. and really well played, mlerose. I can't remember the last mad bomber win I've seen. Of course, delaying my lynch as well as yours shows that the Giraffeboards group likes to play the game unconventionally and it makes it more interesting. |

I can only remember two PFK wins of any kind in the nearly four years I've been playing on Idle's board, the Dope and here.
Congrats to mlerose for pulling off the nigh-impossible. And commiserations to HM on a really bad piece of luck. This isn't the first time a player has had the same role in simultaneous games here and at Idle's board; however, drawing two simultaneous Survivor roles must have sucked. At least Pede, Bill and I had real roles. How all three of us wound up with the same roles in the same two games is still beyond me. |
