Tough call. Not necessarily monstrous; I'll probably vote Scrabble, but I'll entertain arguments for Life before voting.

To me a Scrabble is one of the great games. Also pretty popular online as words with friends.

I'm certain I've played more games of Life than Scrabble. For a kid, Scrabble sounds too much like doing school work; Life is more fun. As an adult, Life is OK, but it's random, and you don't have many choices to make; Scrabble takes intellect and a little bit of strategy. I'm voting as an adult.

I refuse to vote as an adult and you can't make me.
Other than Backgammon I haven't played any of these games in at least 25 years (closer to 40 or 50 years for some). I'm voting based on nostalgia. |

I shared this in the previous megapoll that included board games but I like it well enough to repeat it here as we bid fond farewell to the Game of Life.
For reasons now lost to the sands of time I was playing Life with a group of friends as late teens or early twentysomethings. One of these friends had not had his driver's license for very long and was still rather intimidated by driving. When he got "married" in the game he quietly moved his peg to the right side of his car gamepiece and had his "wife" "drive" the rest of the way through the game. I don't think I would have even noticed if one of my other friends hadn't seen him do it and call him out on it. |

Looks like my last chance to mention this.
Life is not a game I like, but I'm delighted that this edition exists and is not merely a joke meme: https://observer.com/2019/02/new-gam...ennial-living/ |
