Truly Great Sax

I just posted a link to Van Morrison's "Moondance" in the Beltane thread and while I was listening to it and enjoying the saxophone solo I realized that a lot of my favorite songs feature great sax parts. So I'm looking to see if there are other sax maniacs here and what songs they find sax-y.

I'll start it with what may be the greatest (IMHO) sax part in rock and roll, Traffic's Low Spark of High-heeled Boys

You could do worse than to cue up Pink Floyd's "Us and Them" from DSOTM

A bit dated, but still very good sax intro.

"Baker Street" is the first that comes to mind for me when you mention sax parts is rock songs.

Then there's good ol' "Yakety Sax" by Boots Randolph (which is not remotely rock but pretty famous).

I would also recommend the sax part from "Careless Whisper" by Wham but it's B minor and Sax with Minors is illegal and abusive.

When I opened this thread, my gut reaction was to post a link to "Yakety Sax", aka "The Benny Hill Theme", by Boots Randolph. But let's recognize the biggest sax-player in rock & roll history: Clarence Clemmens.

I misread the title to start with. I'm somewhat disappointed in myself.

Did you'll hear the story about a plane load of sax players who got hijacked? The terrorists threatened to release one per hour until their demands were met.

It's only dated because it was the template for the 80s horn solo. Ironically had it been less popular it would feel less of its time.

I just heard this one today and wondered why we failed to list it. Until now.

Here's a nice violin solo in a pop/rock song.

Now, about the youth in Asia.
