Help me figure something out ...
Given my medical issues (TL,DR: got me some cancer but doing astonishingly well, down to one lung though and incipient emphysema in that one, hooray), I try to stick to edibles for the majority of my cannabis consumption. I do, however, let myself indulge in one bowl of flower per session (usually with a hefty bubble hash garnish) through a two-stage waterpipe dab rig*, to get the party started immediately while waiting for the edibles to hit.
Even though I'm not too worried about the smoking (what's it gonna do, give me more cancer?), I do recognize that there's room for some harm reduction here. And given that cancer is, besides everything else about it that sucks, goddamned expensive, buzz-for-the-buck is also a concern. So should I add A) vaping, or B) dabbing, to my weed skill set? I have zero experience with either (despite 35+ years of experience smoking flower), and frankly whichever one tends to be more cost-effective is probably the one I should learn about. (Although I kinda think there's not that much to learn about vaping, other than learning-by-doing with whatever vape I might get.) *I know, it's not really a "dab rig" if you're smoking flower through it. But with a banger added in place of the bowl, that's what it is. "Small bong" doesn't really convey its ease of dab-conversion.
