Nomination and Control thread for Sidekicks Megapoll.
This will probably start July or August.
4 categories. Hero Sidekicks: Robin, Jimmy Olsen, Samwise Gamgee to Frodo, Bucky Barnes to Capt America. Dr. Watson to Sherlock Villain Sidekicks: Harley QuinnEarly, Bellatrix Lestrange, The Witchking to Sauron, Iago from Aladdin Other Sidekicks: Kronk in the Emporer's new groove, we'll see how this goes. Comedy Sidekicks: Ethel to Lucy, Barney rubble to Fred, Bender to Fry, Norton to Ralph, more obscure would be Paul to Kevin Arnold on Wonder Years. This doesn't includes characters that are just supporting characters. Rhoda is not Mary's sidekick, neither is Phyllis. Carla is no one's sidekick on Cheers. No one on Taxi is a sidekick. So please give me the sidekick, who they sidekick for, the show/movie/comic and which of the 4 categories: Hero, Villain, Other, Comedy. Criteria for the poll will be: Best, strongest/most powerful, most fun, most iconic, Most useful/invaluable to the main character The list as of 6/1725/2023; Many thanks to Zeener. I added many of the Sources or Category. "Other" still needs another pass. I eliminated Real People and a few characters that were not sidekicks like Rhoda.
