A Wizards True Name - Night 4
For whom the bell tolls, indeed. Day 4 seemed a sleepy trance like day for the wizards, until the very end. Just as they were preparing for another tie, a black cloud settled over Visorslash's face, and he pointed his hand toward McGinty, and intoned the ancient words. Without McGinty's support, texcat was handily lynched. The wizards faced each other and said, there aren't many of us left. Lets hope we got this right. From visor's mouth erupted a malignant laughter, "You didn't get it right. For it is all over". And the five remaining good wizards were slain in a conference room in new jersey.

I don't know, I'm still pretty sure TexCat is scum.

Thanks for the game Red.
My apologies to all players for my lack of activity. And thanks to my scum team who did all the hard work. |

Yes, very fun game, Red. Confusing at first (I thought we were cooked by all the investigators), but that made it all the more engaging to try to solve.

I enjoyed that.

Fucking impossible, though.

Oh dear. Town did not cover themselves in glory on that one. I'm also annoyed with myself for not voting Giraffe because it is 100% certain that anyone who posts with great certainty that I am town is always scum (I get myself mislynched a lot).
Good game though Red Skeezix. I liked the name gimmick because it was a nice discussion fodder provider. My only complaint would be that as I thought this was essentially an open game (my assumption from the level of detail posted in the rules thread) I really wasn't seriously considering the possibility that Scum could have known any of the first names until people claimed. Knowing that Scum had that extra knowledge would really have changed how town played this I think. |

Though if they didn't have any knowledge of that kind, and the names they suggested weren't that similar to the town it would have been unfair for them.
In any case, with the daykill and five scum it was in scums favour even with all the investigations. At least I can go to sleep now, I've been up since 630. Read the end of the scum qt for a laugh. |

Wow, that was a total annihilation. Good game, scum.
I can't remember playing in a game where we basically got none of the scum. Town was destroyed. |

LOL. I was actually right with my scum guess for once, though there was one more scum than I had thought.

The name claims definitely muddied the waters for Town, but having two Town players bobble their name claims made it a near certainty for scum. We effectively got two of the four lynches handed to us. The first was a tie and the last one we had a near majority.

Buftabby for me - I was genuinely baffled as to why TexCat (even as scum) could possibly have thought it was a good idea to have her down as scum in her swansong post. Largely because of my stupid assumption that scum didn't know any first names

Peeker and I once played on a scum team that took no hits, and won with some last-minute voting shenanigans (by yours truly). I hope he has GiraffeBoard access in the afterlife; he would have enjoyed seeing this.

I did want Town to get one to rebalance the game- sort of |

Btw, how many mafia players are still around? I really want to do a rehash of Gaderene's mysery mafia (everyone knows their alignment but not their role, they must figure out their role via the results of their night action), but frankly you need a lot of players for that to be any fun....

I disliked the reactions I got from this game. I was attempting to make things hard for scum to figure out.
But in the end, all was lost. Good job town, way to be bleeping idiots... Like the people that I work for |

Sorry, Colby. We scum knew you'd just had a moment of confusion / obfuscation, but of course happily exploited it.

Great new game design by Red Skeezix !
Outstanding play by Scum ! Yes, I think it's anti-Town not to go along with a plan agreed by Town majority. Here it led to two misLynches from which Town could not recover. |

i'm surprised that there were more scum than i expected. not surprised that Lightfoot, bufftabby and SisterCoyote were scum. the latter two just tried too hard to make my lack of a scan a big deal while conveniently forgetting guiri's claim that i knew my first name.
thanks for the game, Red. |

I would just like to note for the record that when Bill came up "Ito Freehold" I figured I was also "Ito Freehold" but it was too damn late as I'd already set up the Ark by then.
Someone set me up the ark! Great game. ![]() |

The funny thing is...scum like SisC knew the handshake was worthless because they had a list of all the names. They could handshake just like us.
