because I still think it's weird that they voted idrinkthere4iam for not posting but ignored the fact that I hadn't posted, even after it was pointed out. Possibly only noticed the lack of posting cos they knew they were teammates? As for the lulz thing - I sort of regret bringing up the last game now, sure vote him if you want but can we not bring up old grudges? Or at least leave it til post game as pizza suggested? |

abcdefghjklmnopqrstuwxyz I tend to notice there's an"i"missing, before I notice the "v" is missing. But, I always notice one letter is missing without simultaneously also noticing the other letter is missing. That's normal, right? If I notice a player isn't posting, that doesn't mean I'm also aware of every other person not posting unless I'm specifically checking for it. Maybe he's mafia here, but what you're talking about doesn't seem to be a tell, it just seems to be how the human mind works, imo. |
#160

|

Well, that's not precise.
What you're saying could be a tell, if say Double A were mafia and another inactive player was mafia, or Double A were mafia and he was just picking on someone easy to mislynch. But, it just feels more likely to me that Double A is a villager and he found one inactive player and picked at it rather than exhaustively checking who all the inactive people were. So, it could be a tell, but it is more likely to be nothing. It's unsound, would be more precise. It's sort of like a move in chess that would be good if it weren't a blunder, and then it becomes a good move if your opponent doesn't see how it was a blunder. Unsound reasoning. Maybe you're right but you're more likely to be wrong here, imo. |

Pizza- in your origional example- yes most people when they notice the first one missing tend to stop looking for any other missing-BUT in a mafia game it is a bit more complex ( and you know that)
if the search was for ' who hasn't posted' you would check all- And I have to agree with others that using that as an excuse for anything other than a poke vote can be a scum tell |

I really do need help though. End of day is tomorrow if I'm not mistaken, and I have far too many suspects to choose from. I wish some of you who know the others better could make some cases or point out things that are questionable, just so I can get a better idea. Other wise I don't think I'll be of much help for you today. |

I'm low content because I don't think there's much to comment on yet (and because I'm mostly reading from an iPhone at a new job).
My thoughts so far: There's something in guiri's tone that's pinging me a bit but I can't articulate it so I'm not acting on it yet. I don't think lulz is scum (I was in the aforementioned game and he seems to be acting the same way he did then, including the drive-by votes) I think Pizza is being Pizza. No one else is acting out of character as far as I can tell. Btw, I'm a she. |

Oh, and the batteries not included thing-- I doubt there would be a red herring that interrupts the middle of the day. It must have some significance. (I could be wrong because I did play a game that regularly dealt out messages like that, and it turned out they were red herrings from scum for distraction.)
Visorslash, is there recruitment in this game? |

unvote: lightfoot
vote:zeener diode This guy's scum. 1. I naked voted Zeener as I always do in all games. 2. Then three completely gross votes accumulate. {guiri, lightfoot, mahaloth} One of these is scum who think I'm onto something when in reality it's just RVS. Don't know who but it's the least likely to be guiri. 3. I explain the sario vote in 123 and, here's the important part...PLACE IN BOLD AND GIANT TEXT THAT I'M VLA until mondy. 4. Zeener then places a vote on me in 141 saying that I should explain the Sario vote. What? You mean do the thing I already did in 123? Most importantly Zeener then proceeds to continue posting only barely relevant things, or not relevant things... 143,164 {which is also rolefishing}, 171, 178 Notice how activity seems to have completely dropped off as well. It's like this game day has stalled all of a sudden. Scum came to zeener's aid but then just vote parked. It's not hard to see my wagon is a bad wagon, as it was the first time around. Scum is... Zeener one of {guiri, lightfoot, mahaloth} ATPG is pinging for me. I can only say I know he's capable of generating a good discussion if he wants to. I don't know if it's because he doesn't feel like it, or this isn't the time or place. Double A is never getting lynched without an investigation guilty. I will chainsaw defend him all day every day. That means he's town. |

lulz, I can't see where you're explaining your Sario vote, except where you're saying his frustration sounds fake after the fact that you voted him. Also that's post #121

Not entirely sure why non-relevant posts is Zeener's scum tell. As far as I know by having gone through everyone's posts and tried to analyze them there are worse offenders of this here. It's not a very solid case in my opinion, but it is a case and it is D1. |

lulz looks pretty villagery at the moment.
I can't say he's being very accurate, but I can't say he isn't being very accurate other than about myself. I won't ask him to stop what he's doing, maybe he's onto something. I have no opinion on Zeener yet, and it's entirely possible scums are voting for lulz. I dunno I think villagers are more about removing players they consider trouble, I think scums would let the tension between the villagers grow by itself, to exploit it later on, to look more patient and reasonable than the villagers who aren't getting along, and to look like they are more solving and game focused than you are. Generally speaking their objective is to look like better villagers than you. And stuff like this makes it easy. So, I would suspect my behavior attracted more scums than lulz, and I also feel like they're cautious and staying out of it besides a comment or two. Also anyone who looks very reasonable and whose tone is middle of the road is more likely scum than villager. Villagers are going to be the ones being irrational, unreasonable, demanding, and voting for the wrong people right now. Except me, of course. I already located a scumbag. |

Zeener suggested that there was nothing special about the anonymous message, that anyone could send a PM to the moderator and post a message. I pointed out how that was not usual, that a message being posted by the moderator in the thread was likely a power but, just in case, said I'd try anyway... Nothing more.
