Yes. Whereas 'good' succotash still has lima beans in it.

Lima beans are good when they're called butter beans. Are butter beans in the poll? @Idle Thoughts.

It's however you define/make/like Succotash...so if that's how you like it, then yep, it's butter beans.

But lima beans are even more evil than cole slaw. They taste like that paste you use in elementary school, but more rancid. Cole Slaw, only to block lima beans.

Lima beans are only butter beans if you cook them with pork til they're mushy. Add a pinch of baking soda and some whole okra to the tiny green kind.

Pere, you try 'em like I make 'em.

Some call them butter beans regardless. But no cooking method makes them good. The only bean I dislike in all cases.

@Zeener Diode still hasn't been on today (well, since I started posting these), I can't wait for him to weigh in on half of these. Oh, @Solfy hasn't seen at many of these rounds yet either, I don't think.

Who else is a usual contributor to these but hasn't yet posted? Hm.

I don't think Jag has participated in the poll at all, because I haven't been described as "wrong about food" yet.

If it'll get him in here, "Kat, you are wrong about food. ALL food. You couldn't tell the difference between salt and grape jelly. You are so wrong that your wrongness burns with the fire of 10,000 suns all going SUPER NOVA at once. That's how wrong about food you are."

No, I mean @Jaglavak is usually the one calling me "wrong about food" not that calling me that makes him magically appear.

I love succotash because of its reputed health benefits (which are, coincidentally, lima beans). Plus I add diced tomatoes and jalapenos to give it a kick. Yeah, I hated limas growing up, and I still avoid them as a side dish, but with succotash it's a win for me!

EDIT: I love coleslaw, too, but I'm sticking by my nominee. For this round, at least.

Kat is totally correct about succotash. Cole slaw isn't exactly food. I'm not too sure what it is, but it's not food.

It's heaven is what it is. Succotash, OTOH, sucks.

Bad succotash is bland, with dry lima beans.
Bad slaw, on the other hand, is aggressively horrible. People have done some terrible things to vegetables in the name of slaw. Even when it's good, it's not that good.

Since I define "Succotash" as chocolate ice cream so I voted for that.
