Trust me, if I were "accidentally" "missing" things "on purpose" there's a lotta stuff on the poll I'm far more likely to have "missed" than Clark Bars.

Since there's not going to be much action until the rest of the Round 1 polls time out, I've decided to throw in an Easter egg.
The first person to PM me the name and creative work of origin of this character gets a special bonus. BTW I've futzed with it sufficiently so that Google reverse image search and TinEye don't work ![]() ![]() |

Quick question since this is about candy: can anyone identify the brand of candy this is (or was)? I drew this from memory and it is not perfect, but close.
![]() They are circular fruit drops, about an inch across, like lollipops without sticks. They came in a can with a pry-off lid. They had powdered sugar loose in the can, so had a dull sort of finish. I think they were just called "Drops" but I may be wrong. Have not seen them for years. Probably lasted until the 80s. Googling "fruit drops metal can" is not helping. Thanks. |

Well, I searched with "circular fruit flavor candy metal tin powdered sugar" and Google is bringing up lots of stuff about Cavendish and Harvey fruit drops/fruit candy. Could that be it?
The packaging does not match, but that could just be due to a design update. Website to see current packaging and pictures of the candy (I don't see any kind of "company history" page on the site that shows old packaging design, but you can look around for one): http://cavendish-harvey.de/en/ Google image results for "cavendish and harvey drops" |

Yeah, no, I don't think those (Cavendish & Harvey) are it. Those little tins are common, but the ones I recall were in a can-size can, with that distinctive black screen-printed outside with the colored drops on it - the lids were plain bare metal. Thanks, though.

This is odd. If I am in Google image search and I search on fruit drops metal can I don't see anything promising. But if I search on fruit drops metal can in basic Google I get thumbnails of images along with the conventional search results, and one of them is a thumbnail for...
![]() Looks promising to me. Regardless, though, I love the Drops mock-up drawing, Mgmt. |

By the way, first person to ID the Easter Egg gets to pick one Round 1 loser for a second chance in Round 2. It will be entered in a 3-way winner-takes-all matchup with a random Round 2 poll

With the 1B polls closed I've updated the correlations table. I didn't really intend to offer anything like this again until after all of Round 1 was closed, but I got messing around with the data and here we are. No time for me right now to play around and improve the formatting, unfortunately. I felt bad about how the previous table ganked up the appearance of Page 2 of this thread, so this time I dumped the updated table in one of the Box's recent threads here.
