I couldn't even finish watching Big Lebowski. Did not live up to the hype.

This is a difficult choice because those are both good movies. The script of Lebowski is unusual and well acted. Empire stunned with effects, but is a simple story. Going with the latter for the step-change in effects.

I love lebowski now. But it did take several viewings to really appreciate it. Empire was great from the 1st.
