We need her to be Town. I have played with the clever Archangel for many years and I am close to certain she is Town here in Fig.

@BillMc TCM seems to be sick. Regardless, if she had jumped also that would have left Lotus with no living scum until you and babale arrive, and then you would only be at two scum anyway. MHaye and I decided it was worth it for us to take the risk for ourselves, but all three was too much.
Now, for the scum here. Who's Fig scum, raise your hands? No? Ok well, Hmm, this seems familiar for some reason... ![]() |

@LightFoot that's the plan, but it's not yet guaranteed. Which is why you should go be Mango scum. Right now you're a townie by yourself, but over there you can gain access to whatever plan they're cooking up in secret. Lotus will probably be sewn up soon; none of the currently known Fig scum can return there because we killed them/they left already, and of the few remaining potential Lotus players, one of them is Mahaloth. You leaving would not only shore up Mango, but also possibly let Lotus scum win faster which would free everyone up to go do other things elsewhere.

Here are my current reads, based on public knowledge, my Lotus scum knowledge, and some educated guesses.
Known Lotus scum: me (in Fig, dead in Lotus), MHaye (bound for Mango, dead in Lotus), TCM, Bill (inbound), babale (inbound). They can confirm after arrival by posting on the Lotus scum board, which I can read but not post on anymore. Known Mango scum: LightFoot (fated for Mango), Dead Cat, Mahaloth Known Fig scum: Archangel (dead in Lotus and Mango), TexCat (dead in Lotus and Mango), Pizza (dead in Lotus) That leaves 5 players whose allegiance is not fully known to the public: Silverjan (dead Fig townie, which makes her a Lotus ally wherever she ends up), Lion (dead Mango townie, currently in Fig), raven (dead Lotus townie, currently in Mango), Faulkner (dead Lotus townie, currently in Fig)... and the big one, Squink, who is a giant question mark to everyone but herself and Fig scum. I'm leaning Fig town on Squink and Lion, based on their reactions to Pizza's shenanigans, Fig scum on Faulkner for similar reasons and also for being conveniently absent at a critical time, Silverjan is known Fig town, and I don't have enough info on raven. @Dead Cat, @Mahaloth, can you confirm whether she is Mango scum? |

Here:
Pizza - Scum TexCat -Scum Archangel -probably Scum Snf - probably Scum sturmhauke - Town Lion - Town Squink -probably Town. We need Squink to be Town AND one of the probably Scums to be Town to get a correct execution toDay. Or, if Squink is Scum we need BOTH of the probably Scums to be Town. |

What's the reasoning behind texcat being scum here? I fully admit to skimming so I'm sure I missed it.

A loss is a loss is a loss. if you think there is a slim chance to win one way, and no chance to win another. Why would you not take the slim chance?
I think our Town chance here in Fig toDay is slim but real. If it does not pan out I gave it my best shot. I will transmigrate to Lotus to save Lotus without a Town win because I do not believe in rolling over for other teams. You have to win honestly. But other than that, if there is the slimmest chance of a win here I am not moving voluntarily. Protect your Scum realm if there is really no hope elsewhere. But otherwise, why would you protect your loss? Win here alone and you win nothing. If you succeed in killing Town toDay in Fig, so what? You have a game to win, not a realm. Is that the kind of game you play, pizza? |

If Dead Cat really thought I was Scum here and Fig was a lost cause he would be trying to win in Lotus. He is not. Wheels within wheels. |

I will not concede at this time. There is the possibility that LightFoot is secretly Fig scum, and left under cover of night after Pizza arrived on Day 2 in an attempt to create confusion and try for a win in the other worlds, or at least stall things. It would explain why LightFoot refuses to move along to help Mango.

Scum may win all three realms or they may not. But I am for taking whatever chances there are. I cannot say it more plainly than that.

Fig scum deciding not to kill anyone Night 1 isn't an optimal play by game theory. But if this game has any similarity to the Prisoner's Dilemma, it's that the theoretical optimal play isn't always the best play. People are driven by emotion more than by logic, and the original ancestor Mafia game was invented by a psychologist.
Bill's sudoku table, my own spreadsheet that I'm keeping, the vote records - those are all important tools, but they aren't the only thing. This isn't sudoku, or chess, it's poker. And I'm gonna force people to show their hands any way I can. |

I keep rephrasing my post, but let me try brevity for a change.
1) I acknowledge the bravery and bold risk taking done by Lotus. This breaks the Mexican standoff. 2) I've never broken an alliance in 12 years of play. It's not my style. 3) Lotus moving first eliminates the trust factor. In case Lotus folks care, that was the only thing holding me back because your faction would have been bigger than ours and any betrayal on your part would have meant we lose immediately. 4) everything I just said came from me, let me talk things out with my team. I have been incommunicado for a few days, so I need to be sure we're all on the same page. But I didn't want to waste time, monday is several days off. Just letting you know, if there is an avenue of victory not closed off, I'd go on an adventure too. If there is no avenue of victory for anyone anywhere, then yay draw. We did it. We didn't lose outright, woot. |

I spent the past 45 minutes rewriting that same post.
Just letting you guys know, I admire the move, and I'm not a jerk. This is sorta what I've been working towards since seeing that Lotus was unwinnable and also the largest scum faction. And I denied as much information and manpower to Mango as possible. |

This was in some version, but scum in Fig do control the vote today.
There was a purpose in information denial the past couple days, but I won't jerk you around like that as it relates to what is and isnt possible for you. |

I did spend a lot of time running the numbers as pertains to Fig, and it's we can't be defeated because it took too much time for people to arrive here.
Calling TexCat over sealed it, that's why I outed. It's not possible for town to win in Fig because of the staggered arrivals and we can yeet and kill in the meanwhile. |

I believe there have been enough mind games going on in this thread that it's sort of a see it to believe it kind of deal. To be very fair, I've been away, and I didnt know if TexCat would get here in time, so until now, there's been a need to deny information. And I've been absent so you never know, I might not have voted. I don't think there's a need to deny info anymore, we're past that stage of the game. It's either a win is possible or it isn't. But that's a team decision I can't make it on my own. |
