Don't wait up, it takes a while for people to weigh in and talk it out. |

@LightFoot at this point I can only explain your unwillingness to move out of Lotus in one of two ways.
verdant verdant verdant able legal impair calculator cheese sling Either you are very much not paying attention to the game, or you are Fig scum attempting to stall for a universal loss. babale is confirmed dead townie in both Fig and Mango, it's in the official records and it's been mentioned multiple times by multiple people. Lotus scum, past, present, and future, please check the scum board as soon as possible. |

Checking in.
I see vote movement hasn't happened yet. It's early day still in parts of the world. |

Remember that any townie that hasn't been scum yet has a very incomplete picture of the world.
Scum in Fig have had 2 other teams outed completely and we know our own makeup, so scum in Fig had the clearest look at the game board since Day 3. It's easier for us to make a determination of the game state than anyone else, particularly a townie. A lot of mistaken assumptions were made by villagers that would have been cleared up the moment they became scum somewhere I think. |

If you're town, we know TCM is Lotus scum based on his vote with them on Day 2. You outvote him if you're town today. You do this and Lotus is down to not only 3 maximum members but you cannot be forcibly murdered tonight. If you don't do this, my sudoku for everyone's alignment in the game is complete and its a dead draw. |
#57
|
||||
|

It literally doesnt matter if he votes for you or not. TCM doesnt have a vote today in essence.
So either your brilliant cosplay of a townie has come to an end, or you become the hero of the day in one realm. |

Remember, I am the bulletproof innocent child God Emperor of the town of Lotus, it's your villagery duty to obey my commands.
Or something like that. What a twist it would be if i actually helped yeet a scumbag in Lotus after all that. I think it would count toward keeping my 3 year streak alive. |

You can get your remaining 2 partners by tomorrow day phase.
It's either adventure time or it isn't. The fate of all 3 realms depends on your next decision. Everyone loses or you win. |
#61
|
||||
|
||||
Fig has time to sit and wait and see what you folks do in both realms.
We have a vested interest in winning, so if we see a dead CatsMeow and a dead Dead Cat, then we are obligated by the rules of the game to assist. Despite my preference to help Mhaye and Sturm win somewhere, that doesn't appear to be viable. |
#62
|
||||
|
||||
@Dead Cat
You have 4 hours to make a decision, think fast. But it's an easy decision, you go or you definitely lose. You can have 4 scums in Mango tomorrow, we'd need five to invade and there are not five movers in the game. |
#63
|
||||
|
||||
@Mahaloth
There's a 50/50 chance of victory if Dead Cat is offline and you go instead. Its better than nothing. Read back my past 10 posts or so, and make a decision quickly. You do not risk defeat with this move. There literally are not enough invaders of Mango in existence. |

Tick tock on the clock. Will people be online and ready to yeet scums in time, or will it be a dead draw because town couldn't get its act together in any realm even one time?

If it's night in Lotus then yeah its pretty much a dead draw.
I dont see a path forward anywhere. Spent so much time looking at total numbers of people that I didnt account for it being night anywhere. |

[OOG] Hi Everyone! My neighborhood was hit by a tornado yesterday and our power is out. We are fine but a number of homes very close by are destroyed. It's got me pretty shaken up. We've never had one come so close before. I'm not going to try play on my phone if I don't have to. I'll do my best to keep up and hope the power is back before end of Day. [OOG]

@LightFoot I am only stating the facts available to me. I understand you cannot leave until Lotus night is over, but you have also shown an unwillingness to leave. Leaving for Mango frees up both Lotus and Mango scum to do other things that may help win against Fig scum, and also enables you to receive secret Mango scum communication. Staying in Lotus only helps Fig scum. So either you're intentionally helping them, or you're making a bad play.

Wait, that means Lion was scum.

So that should make Squink our fifth scumbag.
Unless it was Faulkner all along. Personally I think it was Faulkner, because distancing/bussing is way more my style than brute force. But it still could be Squink somehow. She looked very townie though. |

|

The gloating would be like, we barely caught up with the other scum teams just in the nick of time. There were more townies in Fig remaining than in any realm.
Also, we barely held a draw, which means we also get to lose, so... gloating, not so much. Yay we didn't lose everywhere, is more the sigh of relief we're feeling. We did need to look villagery enough so that the other teams wouldn't invade us early, thinking we had this on our own, and we also needed to call our allies here in time, and make sure we had the timing down. It took effort, it wasn't as much of a breeze as what was going on in Mango and Lotus. There were sweat drops on my forehead, no lie. |

Congrats on yeeting me day one in Lotus.
Day ones usually suck for me, but it was long enough that I eventually got there. Not that it helped. |

I played day 2 like it mattered, because there's no point in not doing so, but it didn't matter, so I don't feel bad about my wrong guesses that day.
You have to assume the outcome is in your hands, otherwise why play. |

This whole game reminds me of that Ben Finegold story, where he was watching kids play chess, and one kid stalemated the other, and when he moved, he said "stalemate" and he was really excited. So Ben was like, do you know what stalemate is? And he said not really, and Ben said that means the game is a draw. And the kid was like, oh cool. He was happy.
He knew what stalemate was, so he was excited to shout it out when he stalemated his opponent. This game, I felt what that kid felt. |

|
||||
|

I think my favorite story was the one where Ben noticed there were no kings on the board, and he asked them about it, and the kids said "no no, we took those a long time ago".
Or the one where the kid kept putting the opposing king in check with his king, and his opponent kept moving away. It was hard to pick which behavior was more silly. |

There is a possible path for Lotus and Mango to win against Fig, but it depends on some luck* and also TheCatsMeow showing back up. Hope she's ok, she hasn't been online in a while. I'm posting this openly because otherwise we all stare at each other waiting to all lose at the same time. Anyway, it goes like this:
This is not a guaranteed win. If the vote order is more favorable to Fig, we might all still lose. But it's something. *Yes I know the player lists are predetermined; the luck is if they are predetermined in a favorable way. |

Probably so. It's 4v4 right now so even if all the future town show up to vote, with the NK's, scum should win soon enough. |

Fig Day 3 was highly contentious. We know Bill and jan aren't Fig scum. LightFoot was already gone. That leaves you and Faulkner as unknowns. Now, it's also possible that either you or Faulkner (not both) is the last Fig scum rather than LightFoot. If it's LightFoot, it would be some sort of ploy that Pizza cooked up to get a spy in Mango. Unlikely to work, perhaps, but based on Pizza's multiple walls of text he was getting a bit desperate to score a win. If it's not LightFoot, I'd go with Faulkner over you. But this plus the timing issues you mentioned are where the uncertainty comes in. I cannot guarantee my idea will work, but I don't see any other options beyond waiting for the end. |

I would never intentionally play sub-optimally in bridge. But I am taught that when I find myself locked in a bad contract, I must imagine the only position where the cards might lie in my favor to succeed and then to play for that positioning however improbable.

DeadCat, in bridge I cannot form an alliance with another team. That would be illegal. In Mafia, if I am Scum I can cut a deal with the SK.
