ethical question is it ok to take a picture of a random car in a parking lot if you think it's a cool car you rarely see here and want to show off |

Sure, why not? Anything in public view is legal to take a photo of. I have seen trucks like that in Japan. It might be a gray market car.

If it doesn't have DOT approved bumpers you kind of have to slide it in on the sly.

most of what I know about cars I learned from Doug Demuro videos on youtube
he hasn;t done a video on my car but he did write an article about it https://www.autotrader.com/car-news/...emember-262252 yeah it's a cool car rly useful for me lots of cargo space if you fold down the back seats and it has AC unlike my previous pickup truck mine's a 2009 and I just passed 162k https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachmen...624_060401.jpg according to my vehicle registration the state of north carolina thinks this is a station wagon |

the kei truck was gone today (it's a mechanic shop so not unreasonable that it might have still been there today) but I saw this

A friend of mine had one of those years ago. It had the big bore 1.6L with all the go fast parts, he called it his poor man's Porsche. Then he put a sticky set of Pirellis on it. Next time I stopped by it was parked out front with a for sale sign.
Turns out he had been out having fun on a twisty country road and managed to flip the thing off a small embankment into a broccoli field. He said it didn't slide a bit. One second he was leaning into a turn, the next second the world was spinning. I kept my mouth shut but must have looked pretty skeptical because there wasn't a single dent on it. So he took me out and showed me the scratches on the roof. Apparently it had just barely smooched gravel going over, but since the embankment was about eight feet down it had room to fall while rolling and landed shiny side up with all four tires popped off the rims. He planned to buff it out, but it sold before he got around to it. And that was the end of his budding road racing career. |
