Thoughts:

• Actually had a lot of fun with the RP aspect of the game, such as it was. Chip and the Commando Elite, in review, are the least developed/interesting characters in Small Soldiers, so I had to do some improv and bounce off the other characters y'all brought to the table, which I thought added a whole layer of interest and diversion to the proceedings! Kinda sucked that the immediate D1 consensus was to can it.
• I think my final wallcase is testament to Mahaloth's play being a masterclass in outrunning the other guy. But seriously, WTF was that D4? Why would you just snap vote Skybreaker, when all team worlds were busted and none of my previous points about town!Sky were invalidated? Why would you cap yourself as a townie before half the Day had passed. There was precedent for both duplicate roles and town outside the Scooby gang. I understand being exhausted after a long drag, but you could've at least gave him somewhat of a challenge.
• While I am not feeling as sour as I once was, I think there's an undeniable level of burnout going on on my end. So still probably going to take a break.
• Oh, and the setup is actually pretty cool. Our own machinations and gloss-overs led to some frustrating results, but that's not really your fault.

I read "if the Dean finds you, you will be out of the game to mean that I had a lovers role, and subsequently an extra win condition. That If I met the Dean, I'd win the game.

The Scooby-Doo Gang all had a one-shot investigation power to determine if someone else had the same role. Since the Gang is guaranteed to be Good Guys, it's like a sometime alignment power. Or, you can think of all the non-Gang Good Guys as a miller role.

But the Gang were each vulnerable to being name-killed if they revealed who they were. This was a bonus kill for the Bad Guys, but low probability.

The Busybodies each had a one-shot protection power to counter the bonus kill.

The overall goal of the design is to give Good Guys a reward vs risk trade between gaining info and getting killed.

I thought there was a player in this game that would have a flip reveal as The Dean.

It's entirely why I freaked out, and why I claimed.

If I had known that you had to match Velma to Annie, instead of a <role called The Dean simply saying "Catch Annie"

I would have played different. I would have played better.


I thought the entire "If you are caught" mechanic was a thousand times easier, and didn't require a matching up of any kind.

I was told that The Dean had to "catch me".

Not that Scum had a "Name Kill" ability.

Town was told one rule. Scum was told another.
