Throughout the three years of the Clone Wars, R2D2 was Anakin’s loyal helper and sidekick. 20 years later, Artoo would be paired with Anakin's son, Luke, to destroy the Death Star.

The question of Hobbes' true appearance is never divulged. Watterson has stated that Hobbes is both a stuffed toy and a real, living tiger. It depends on which other character's point of view is prominent at the moment.

I don't think that Hobbes is in my final eight. But I didn't vote for R2 because he seems to be about his own agenda, except for when programming and ownership force him to work on others' agendas. So I am not sure he is actually a great sidekick.

I feel like he's a great sidekick for Luke when Luke is a pilot. But otherwise I agree
