Also, if it's part of a rewrite, any extensions and add-ons might fall over (and some of the bugs could be in converting and implementing skins, etc). I'm all for us not being early adopters.

vB3.5+ plugins and extensions aren't compatible with vB 4. I'm usually an early adopter when it comes to vBulletin version updates, but in this case I'm waiting until most of the essential plugins use have vBulletin 4 equivalents, and I can find a RSS feed aggregator plugin that is the equivalent of Drupal's built-in function.
