Can anyone explain this to me?
I read several comics on gocomics.com. Under each comic, you have the opportunity to post a comment if you wish. Why do people do this?
More than once, I've seen someone post "FIRST" and nothing else. Does being the first poster get you a prize or something? It's right up there with "First on page <X>!" Ooooooookay , congrats. Then there are the folks who "talk back" to the characters in the comic. Yeah, because Garfield is interactive. Or the folks who try to go the punchline one better, but they never do. Or the folks who try to initiate a serious discussion about something that's obviously meant in fun. Don't these people have lives?? I swear, they're as bad as the morons who waste their lives with imaginary friends on message boards. Seriously. Do you think I took my retirement too early??

People have always been stupid and annoying. But before the internet we didn't know it. Now we do.

This is pretty profound. Before the internet, I used to think my sister and her husband were the most stupid and annoying people in the world. Now I know better...

Oh, for Og's sake, don't read the comments at GoComics! They have all the entertainment value of Pat Robertson's morning shower. Instead, after reading all your comics, go to the Comics Curmudgeon and read all of THEIR comments about the comics...it's much more entertaining.

Okay so who's going to be cruel enough to introduce FairyChatMom to YouTube comments...?
