Yeah, my guess is that there was never any actual concern on the part of CP's provider that this was an ectopic pregnancy---or at the most, no more concern than the average pregnancy that begins while the woman has an STD. Nothing specific about CP's situation that brought ectopic up, IOW. But saying that her odds of ectopic were no better or worse than anyone else's doesn't allow for maximum dramaaaaazzz.

It's like the person who hears about a car accident and goes off with, "I drive that road sometimes! I wasn't there at the time, but OMG, I could have DIED!!!!"

Was it even confirmed that she had chlamydia? Chlamydia can cause problems in pregnancy, but fertility problems and an increased risk of ectopic pregnancy generally come from scarring from infection which wasn't detected and treated at the time.

According to the time frame she's given us, even if she did contract chlamydia from the guy, she didn't have it for any length of time before seeking treatment so it's pretty unlikely to have produced any major scarring.

Her comments about the pill were also a bit ambiguous too. If her LMP was 18 December then she would have been told to start the pill during her next period and to use other forms of contraception until 1-2 weeks after that. Maybe it's the way she phrases things, but I got the impression that she'd started the pill mid-cycle before the pregnancy test results had come back.

And why is the bitch asking for money in one thread but telling people she's getting a $4000 tax refund next week in another? If she's the teacher, then surely she can extend the project another week until she has money to fund it.

Her "Vegas hookers" thing pisses me off too. Chlamydia is endemic in certain age groups and it's often a silent infection which goes undetected for a very long time. Depending on what method of testing was done on her ex, it's even possible that he had false negatives for chlamydia prior to visiting Vegas.

And who the hell regards this as the ultimate indicator of the seriousness of their relationship?
