techno help please

I bought a "v-touch pro 4gb" media player, hs a 3 inch touch screen. says it'll play music and videos, has built in camera and stuff.

What did I buy? Can I download music? movies? How? play back same ? how?

(I bought it through a groupon deal for like $20?, I could read directions, but not sure if I'll keep it for myself or give to my son)

thanks.

Here's a bit more info on it. No, you can't download with it since it doesn't have internet connectivity, but you should have a USB cable to load stuff on it from your computer. Looks like the connection goes both ways and you can play videos on a tv from it. Mostly what it is is some entertainment in your pocket for a low price. Good score!

Yeah, the page SmartAleq linked to says that it'll play "AVI, Real Media, Flash (both FLV and SWF) and Windows Media" videos, "MP3, WMA, AAC and WAV" audio files and "JPG, BMP and GIF" image files. This means it can play most videos you download from the 'Net or DVDs you convert yourself using AutoGK or the like. I doubt it'll play HD video, and keep in mind that AVI is just a container format (translation: although most AVI files are standardized into a few select formats these days, there might be AVI files it won't play). It should also handle almost any kind of music file you can throw at it, except FLAC files (the one loseless codec I'd want).

I don't know how the player works exactly, but I'd guess that when you attach it to your computer, Windows will mount it like a flash drive. You'll probably see folders named AUDIO (or MUSIC), VIDEO, IMAGES, etc. Just drag and drop the files to the player and let it copy and you should be golden.
