Salad with smoked duck. Red wine and while I desperately want garlic bread my dinner guest has given up grains so I should probably not serve it.

Surf&Turf!! My gf brought home some beautiful salmon fillets and I brought home two nice NY Strip steaks. The only problem is, we have plans for dinner Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
So.....I will sous vide the steaks rare and grill the salmon. We are both skipping lunch today in anticipation of too much dinner.

Spicy Noodles! The recipe says Dandan noodles, but the result is entirely unlike the dandan noodles from the local Chinese eatery.
On Sunday we're going to have Pizza! My life has had very little pizza in it of late and I'm really looking forward to PIZZA!

The PLAN is to make air fryer shrimp and sausage cajun dinner.

I will be attempting this after my aqua fit class so we'll see how much energy I actually have.

I always get root beer at In-n-Out. It's the best!

(I asked - it's supposed to be Dad's brand root beer, but it's just not the same as the stuff from their fountain.)

It was really good! I had never made anything with ground lamb before although I've eaten it in restaurants.

I'm going to have to make this now. I've had it at Anatolia, a local Turkish restaurant and it's delicious!!

I don't know if I've seen ground lamb at our grocery store. A friend has some sheep and he gives me a lamb when he has them (in exchange for help butchering and vacuum wrapping) so I never buy lamb.

Lamb is hard to find in grocery stores. Restaurants buy up much of what's available. I have a meat CSA share delivered once a month and usually get some, ground or steak. It's fun because I get cuts of meat I've never tried before.

Gonna play with my brand new crockpot/pressure cooker. Pot roast! I've never had a multi-cooker. And never cooked in a pressure cooker, ever!

Sorry for the giant picture! Pot roast turned out delicious! But the veggies were overcooked. Six minutes is too long for potatoes! Who knew?

Standard pizzeria food in the North East at least.

Pizza dough (often the scraps) rolled in butter & garlic and tied in a knots and baked. Then topped with butter, garlic & herbs.

I constructed what might actually have been THE perfect salad--baby romaine and spinach at about equal proportions topped with finely sliced red onion, perfectly ripe avocado, chopped hard boiled egg, crispy bacon, unaged asiago and french fried onions in a pomegranate-blueberry vinaigrette. Could only have been improved with fresh baby portabella mushroom slices and bleu cheese instead of the asiago. It was seriously a party in mah mouf.

ETA: Man, a couple of those garlic knots would have gone perfectly with that salad! Oh well, perfection usually does escape us.
