@Mahaloth please see Pleo’s post post #38.
If you agree with the plan, please select which of TexCat or Raventhief, or propose another player, to nominate Bashorian. We can use the Child’s power to catch a scum as outlined in Pleo’s post. Once you select a player, they will have 12 hours to nominate, or else they will be nominated. |

Assuming either texcat or raventhief nominates me and dies the day continues right. So who should next be nominated. So we don't waste time.

The other one.

And it’s Lightfoot, not Texcat, my bad.

By my calculation we have about 72 hours left in the Day.
I propose the following: Mahaloth to decide which player (Lightfoot, Raven or someone else) should nominate Bashorian by 2pm today. If he doesn’t get back, maybe Pleo can choose instead. The chosen player has until 8pm today to nominate, otherwise anyone can just nominate that player, and hope we can muster up 6 votes over the following 24 hours, or 6 exonerations if that player has a really really good reason to be left alive. If there’s a vig, they may want to use their power so we can move on to the next nomination candidate and try again. |

At this point, I'll take any plan that moves the game forward. I'm going to switch over to post-game analysis.
I think this game is an interesting experiment (and I've run my share of experimental rules), but players here are too cautious to handle this low level of information and too contrarian to meet the majority-vote execution requirement. It's hard enough to get a majority under normal conditions (and even with multi-vote it doesn't often happen), but the lack of information has put players into a "wait and see" mode that will inevitably lead to a Scum win by default. It's like my Wheel of Life mafia. Players could foresee that cautious play would lead to an everyone-loses stalemate. And yet they still played cautiously. So everyone lost. ![]() |

I am concerned about waiting for Mahaloth, who is often a low volume poster.

Yes, so Pleo can be backup at 2pm ET, @ mention the player chosen to nominate, and we wait till 8pm. Then the game just has to move on.

I was drawn into this, because of the allure of all of the interaction. I guess I based most of that on, formal and actual "normal" reveals. My bad on that. I tried to do a thing, with the Wine and Cork DMs . Now, even more so, if we are treating this game, in as much, as already lost, I am glad I did something with the "extras" we got in this game. I'd like to think that it did confirm Pleonast and Guiri and if it didn't, at least I got out of the starting gate, in this new rule-set, regardless. I am doing what I can, and as always, I feel it is never enough, either by what I do and do not carry and take on .... and what others I play with, take, and do not take on. I'm just not sure where to put all of that. |

Pleo and Guiri.
Sorry, did you need smoething else from me here? Do we need to discuss |

Are you OK with the plan? Do you have any other candidates you’d like Mahaloth to consider? I included TexCat and Mordenkainen as options. I realise that the mod won’t have made the game so easy to solve if we simply trust the first claimants but we also need vote records and some discussion. Follow the leader rarely works here, something about herding sheep…

I would have as well.

I picked raventhief because that nomination got cut off early by end of Day.

How long do we wait for raventhief?
|

8pm ET, then anyone can nominate her and voting starts.

So once I nominate Bash, the child is essentially vanilla.

I think that's correct. If you're town.

Child - The first time you are nominated, if the player who nominated you is a townsfolk they will be executed immediately.
Let's not waste time. |

@mod Are you here and is anyone dead?

IF we have a child and

Everyone still needs to vote absolve. The trigger was pulled.

If the deal is we count on non-votes, that's fine but I don't know whether it says something about the game or about the players.

If raventhief is not dead, this seems right. We expel raventhief and deal with the Bashorian lie/Patsy possibility toMorrow. If raventhief is dead, then certainly this is right. |

Thing is the reason I said we shouldn't waste time is we can absolve this now and then nominate someone else to get in another bite at the apple before Day end or we just delay and maybe miss that opportunity.

I think we need to absolve Bashorian and with haste, then nominate and convict raventhief.

Meeko, if Bashorian truly is the child and Raventhief did not die immediately upon nominating him, we can deduce that Raven is scum and so you should vote to absolve Bashorian asap so we can nominate Raventhief and execute her.
The only way Raventhief is Town is if Bashorian is not the Child, which has a non-zero probability but lower than Raventhief being scum in my opinion. |

The Day ends immediately upon execution, so no chance to have two, but certainly getting the absolution out of the way opens the path to a new nomination and time to get 6 votes.

If the vig fails, we should nominate and execute raventhief. I think a majority of us can agree on that.
If the vig succeeds, I say we should nominate and execute LightFoot. Who supports that, and who opposes? And if you oppose, name a specific player you want to nominate instead. |

Today is the day the mod said he’d have limited or no availability.
Quote:
- Bashorian’s nomination was successful (despite the wording in Raven’s nomination) - Raven was not automatically executed for nominating the child - Bashorian’s been correctly absolved - TexCat’s order will be processed in due time So we can move ahead with nominating someone else. Since TexCat’s given me good reason to reconsider wanting to execute her, I’m good with Lightfoot or Mordenkainen. ToMorrow might be fun if any or all of the assumptions prove wrong. |
