Is there a way to opt out of emails asking me if I'm sure I want to keep opting out?

I don't really have anything to add, except to say that that is excellent. I also love the way they say 'important product information'. It's like... they don't want to send you these ads, but they will just for your own sake. Love it.

Oh sure. I don't know what I was thinking when I opted out. Of course I want to know about important product information! Who wouldn't?

Bank Of America.

I have multiple accounts with them and the paperless option on every one of the accounts. It seems inherently insecure to have them send paper statements with my name and account number.

So twice a month they send me promotional mailings to extend the credit limit on my credit card, complete with checks that anyone could sign and use to withdraw cash. There's no option to opt out of these mailings.

Dear Bank of America,

If you send me one more piece of correspondence in the mail, I will close my account and find another bank.

Sincerely,

SoylantPopTart

It'll either work or it won't. Can't hurt to try.

I would like to direct your attention to the "report spam" button--takes care of a lot of these pesky emails.

Fuckin' Microsoft...

There is a way to get out of those. I think in the fine print there's a number you can call to have them stop sending you those checks and credit card offers. I got sick of them about two years ago when I was getting multiples of them a day and finally called. Haven't gotten one from any bank since.

Discover Card and Chase VISA have been very good about no longer sending me checks in the mail. I didn't even have to threaten to close my account. This week I did get a notice from Discover Card that I have been awarded a rating of "5.0 Superior" and therefor qualify for a Discover Personal Loan. However, the didn't include any checks, just an application with an Invitation number on it instead of my account number. It went straight to my shredder, of course.
