A Pen
But no, not just any pen, a pen for our very own Dragonlady. Now that she is an Attention Whore of World Renown, she must have a suitable pen for signing autographs.

That is a very nice pen. This should help push her attention whoring up to the next level.
![]() ps: What type of wood is that? The lighter spots at first look like water droplets, but I can see that they're in the grain pattern. |

Sorry, it was in a previous attempt at posting, but one of my kittens stepped on the keyboard and erased it. It is myrtlewood, I think. I've had it so long I've actually forgotten what it is, but I'll go with that. It came from Oregon, that much I'm sure of.

Thanks for that input, Smartie. Next time I drive through that area I'll stop and get some more...I'm about out of it.

You have to go all the way down to the area where the stuff in the shops is made to get the raw wood, though. At least you did 25 years ago. I like to search through the stacks and find what I like, not what some guy on the internet wants to sell me.

Man, I miss being a delivery courier, I used to find the neatest shit that way. Like big crayons in bright fluorescent (literally, like black light glowy) colors used to mark lumber--they have sample sizes that are only about five times the size of jumbo crayons and they gave me a couple of every color, which I plan on using some day to do a hippie style mural on the ceiling of Time Bomb. Okay, I'm just rambling now. Carry on! ![]() |

Oooo. Very pretty.
I don't want to put the wrong spin on this but . . . you do know I have a serious stationery fetish right? Maybe you could post a bigger pic? ![]() Oh, nevermind. I think I can make that work. ![]() |

Is that stationery, or stationary? And no, I've tried bigger pics without success. There's too much distortion that I don't need to learn how to correct.

Excellent pen, Harry.
See Brian? People who aren't dicks get cool stuff. |

Oh, it gets worse than that. I am, after all, mostly human, so his existence on this board will probably keep me from doing a Christmas pen giveaway this year, unless I can figure out a way to filter him and a few others out, so they can't enter.

That's beautiful, Harry. I
I still love mine and showed it to my friend who is a pen lover and collector. She loved it. When I told her how I came by it, she told me I was very lucky to have such a nice person do something like that for me. I use it all the time at home. I won't take it to work or I'd never see it again. |

I have some zebrawood that I'm saving for the right project. Hardwoods are getting really expensive.
