That thread is from 2002 and in it hajario castigates someone for not using Google. It still amazes me how fast it completely overwhelmed the competition. Also, he uses the term "cashed copy" which might not have been a typo. The word "cache" was not as ubiquitous then. Which reminds me:

I worked in graphic design in the 90s. Our tech guy was forever telling people to "clear their cache" in order to solve routine problems. He wasn't sure of the pronunciation so I told him it was "cachet." It still makes me giggle thinking of all the times I heard him on the phone advising someone to clear their cachet. Sorry Rick.
