Unvarnished Truths is a blog depicting my attempts to write about things I make, and about things that interest me. Sometimes I may try to explain why this is so, or why something was built a certain way as opposed to another, but usually I am not successful. I think about the best that readers can hope for is to be mildly entertained.

...or possibly, finally? You'll have to take my word for it, though, since there are no pictures. I turned it as part of a promotion at the local Woodcraft store, and it was given away almost as soon as it was assembled. I think it's only the third or fourth pen I've turned in the four years since Mrs. Harry passed away. I was inordinately pleased to find I hadn't forgotten how. Depression is a bitch, but I think I'm starting to turn a corner. Remains to be seen if it's the corner, but it's a start.
