Thanks for the warm welcomes, all. For those who don't know me, I was sort of a standard at the SDMB for a looooooooooooong time, but left for greener pastures around 2003 (although I do still poke my head in from time to time). I was reading some old threads and saw a reference to the Giraffe Boards, so here I am. Nice to see old friends still around.

You start out as New Member until you get to ten posts or something. Once your title switches over to Charter Member, you should have the ability to edit your title on your User CP page.

After making 10 posts to prove you're not a Dirty Spammer, the board will automatically update you to the normal member status (update is on an hourly schedule or something, not immediate, so be patient). Then you can monkey around with your title, send/recieve PMs, etc.

Or Giraffe could just upgrade you now, since everyone seems to know you anyway. Hell, even I recognize you, and I haven't been on that other board in forever.


EDIT: I don't know why I bother posting when I know I'm going to be too slow anyway.
