It's scary, I know. There's only one store in town where I know there are few customers and all employees wear masks, and that's the little town pharmacy. I had to go there to pick up a prescription. Right before I left, my MIL called, extremely confused and having a bad dementia day. She hasn't left the house since January, coupled with dementia, and well, I went over there and spent the better part of the morning calming her down. Then I got her ready and masked her up, and the two of us browsed the tacky little knick knacks while we waited for my meds. Gotta say, she seemed much more lucid on the ride home.
I hope she enjoyed it because I wasn't comfortable, even though we were all masked. The woman is 87 years old. Plus, I've been sick all winter. Still, without human contact is life worth it?
