Rather than explaining my original artistic vision and how it kept getting less and less grand, I sent her the video. She was extremely and publicly upset. After that, I made sure to ask what any Doper who sent me an e-mail or private message wanted in response.

I'm not clear if the Doper you reference here is the same one I referenced above, but I'd bet anything the dopers who requested more pics were doing so for snark purposes. You're fucking gross. You seem to be basing your opinion on a set of 'facts' that are not true. The following is the truth, with most of the prurient details left out.

Back in the days when most Dopers were also on LiveJournal, it became clear that a female Doper (she shall remain nameless) genuinely wanted nude photos of me. I confirmed this by talking with her by private message. After it became clear that she was serious, I warned her that I would somehow get the photos taken and mail them to her. I checked at every step to be sure that she knew I was serious and that she consented. Eventually, she received a CD of the photos in the mail. This was only possible because she had provided me with her address- for the express purpose of sending the CD of NSFW photos. I will simply state that she was very happy with the photos. That is the only time I have ever mailed any Doper a CD of the photos.

As I said earlier, I cannot remember why I started a thread apologizing for sending out CD's of NSFW photos to other Dopers. I do know- IT NEVER HAPPENED. I only sent a CD to one Doper. She repeatedly and emphatically requested the photos and again, gave me her address so I could send them.

A few years later, a lot of people had digital cameras and the SDMB was filled with various photo threads. Somebody started a thread asking if we could have a Doper NSFW photo thread. TubaDiva herself gave permission and laid out the rules. I immediately uploaded a photo to a hosting site and started the thread. Naturally, many people disapproved. Most of these people complained publicly. A surprisingly large number felt the need to complain to me personally by e-mail or private message. As soon as I realized it was a complaint, I deleted the message. A number of people approved. A few posted their approval in the thread or in comments on the photo hosting site. Most felt more comfortable contacting me by e-mail or private message to express their appreciation. A few sent photos or videos of their own, or gave the name they used on an instant messenger program. Many of the Dopers contacting me expressed interest in seeing more photos (I had originally uploaded only one) or a video. I did have a primitive web cam. They got a video. You have already described the content. I got complaints about the technical limitations of my web cam from a few people. All the recipients were pleased with the content. Then, the mistake happened.

I was dealing with a very large amount of e-mails and private messages. I was deleting the complaints. I was answering questions asked by those complimenting the photos, saying 'thank you' etc. I do not remember the screen name of the female Doper in question. I don't have the private message or e-mail in question any longer. From what I remember, what she meant was 'What were you going for aesthetically/artistically?'. What she actually wrote was roughly 'I want to see more'. I misunderstood her request and sent her the video. At the time, I thought that was what she was asking for. It was not. She was extremely and publicly upset. I would have been too. I did apologize and told my side of the story. After that, I was very careful to be certain precisely what anybody who contacted me privately was saying and exactly what they were requesting.

That is the entirety of what happened.

I sent one CD to one Doper who repeatedly confirmed she wanted it and gave me her address so I could mail it to her.

I did send a video to a number of Dopers by e-mail. I misunderstood the message one Doper sent and honestly thought she was requesting a video. Before that, all the people I sent it to had positive responses. After that, I made very sure to ask whether they wanted the video, and understood the contents, before I sent it.


I have not told different stories over the years. I have told the truth.

I would have responded sooner, but when you said I was "gross" I thought you were objecting to my sharing photos and videos with other adults who had consented to view them. I didn't realize what you meant. Yes, sharing NSFW photos and videos with other CONSENTING adults is my kink. Showing such things to people who have not consented to view them is so very much not my kink. I admit (hell I admitted it two posts ago) that I posted the photos and provided a link in the OP of the NSFW SDMB thread. I freely admit I sent Dopers who contacted me privately a video.

What I deny is intentionally sending the video to anybody who hadn't asked for it. I misread a private message and sent the video to somebody who was aaking for something else. This happened a total of once. Before that all the people I thought wanted the video, turned out to actually want it. After that, I made sure if they were asking for the video and knew what it contained.
