I got a nice card from Clockwork Jackal on Saturday, which motivated me to get mine done. They were put in the mail about an hour ago.

Eh, I was later than planned. I'm glad everyone is so understanding. Hopefully, they'll all be ready and in the mail tomorrow. On another note, I got lovely cards from both C and missred. Thank you, ladies. My holiday is already feeling brighter!

Yup. First card of the season showed up from Clockwork Jackal today.

So I decided I'd better get off my ass and send out my cards.
Except that my wife used up all of the nice cards that I got from Habitat for Humanity.
And the ones she bought to send to our friends and family aren't bad, really, they're just not me.

So off to the store to buy new cards tomorrow. And stamps. And get them in the mail ASAP.

Got CJ's card today. As promised, I was not cussed out on the religious card, so all is well.

Mine will go out sometime this week. Probably.

I had an interesting (?) experience at the post office. I put all my US cards in the mail slot inside the post office, then stood in line for the Canadian postage (and a personl one to some friends in the Phillipines.)

Some of my cards needed extra postage because they are thicker than normal! I said "Oh no!" to the postal worker, and explained that I had just put a bunch in the slot. She retrieved them for me. The lady next to her said, "You better be glad so-and-so isn't here! She would make you fill out THE FORM."

So I hope she found them all, and that none get returned to me for insufficient postage. She was so nice about it, it made my day.

Over the past two days, I've gotten cards from:

1. Amythyst, with the curmudgeon labels and first attack of glitter;
2. Harry, in his inimitable and delightful style;
3. Missred, just wow and with gems even! and
4. stormie, with a personal note and generous use of tape!

Yay!

Part of the fun is my husband's even though I TOLD him cards were coming again this year.

Got wonderful cards from Rebo (adorable little puppy!), and Amythyst (glittery polar bear cub chomping on a candy cane). It's so nice to get something other than bills and junk mail in snail mail.

If I remember correctly, another Raffer had a problem with undelivered cards last year. I think the cards were sent under her username rather than her RL name. She spoke to her mail carrier and got it sorted out. Could that be the problem here?

it's possible, I suppose, but I get stuff with my address and other people's names all the time, so I would guess they would deliver it.

plus my actual last name is on the address list. that should work.

I am writing mine today. so far, I have received none.
