Double A comes from a different board, where bolding is sufficient for a vote.

Disregard the previous post.

Lest I be accused of colluding with Pizza and Archy's "serious" votes.

For aforementioned reason.

Votes here also go in blue, and you can use the "vote" tags: [ vote] and [/vote]
It was direct-to-video, sadly. I couldn't get the funding from Kickstarter.

Anyway, vote: idrinkthere4iam for not posting at all, which is clearly a sign of evilosity. And when they show up saying they were "drinking," you'll know who called it.
Not drinking. Well I was. But that's not my excuse. New work schedule. Lack of sleep. That pretty much sums up my absence. Reading now. May post if something strikes me. Otherwise going to bed. New schedule messed up sleep cycle. So trying to get it on track.

Yes, my vote is serious although not strong. Double A started both "votes" (one was in black so I don't think it's a real vote) with "Anyway." The first vote seemed to be a joke, and then the second vote is "lynch the lurker" with a jokey justification.

Something about this strikes me as forced, like an attempt to get participation on record without having to commit to it. Maybe their playstyle is just jolly, and maybe I'm totally off base about the "anyway" (I wasn't too happy when I was town in the last game I played and people wanted to lynch me for the use of the word "also"). But it's bugging me, so my vote will stay unless and until I find something that pings me more.

Also, I think guiri's vote is serious too.

The fact that Double A started both of his votes with "Anyway" doesn't ping my radar.

You may be on to something with the participation, but this early in the game its hard to be certain of anything.

I not only think guiri's vote is serious, I agree with him. Posting a vote and nothing else is highly suspicious.

I admit it: I say anyway a lot. Also also. Pretty much any form of transitiony word or conjuction, really. Furthermore, my writing style tends to be irreverent as fuck.

As it stands- Lulz behaviour is the most suspect to me as well------ not a smart move for Scum- but not a single bit impossible- and as Town is makes no sense either-----

Like Guri said before me ( differently of course) - to poke and joke is one thing- but to drop a vote with no other interraction in the game is bad form all around.

One vote per player.

And ties are no lynches.

this changes perspective a tad-think about this- if the front runner is Town - Scum won't care- If the front runner is Scum they will tie the vote ( if they can) and there will be no lynch= no information ---- Joke votes by Town have just become counter-productive 3 fold

The fact that it appeared mid-day makes me think someone has a power to send an anonymous message...maybe with some kind of restriction? I don't see the restriction, though. It's usually not being able to use the same letter twice or some kind of word restricting thingy.

A role that allows a player to send a PM, to the moderator, during mid-Day? Call me foolish and naive, but wouldn't that include, I don't know... everyone?

Meh, you can pick one.

Being "committed" to lynch a ton of people is the same as being committed to lynching whoever you like.
Very generous of you. Now roughly I agree with your pledge - towards the end of D1 each player should be voting the person they want to see lynched, but your pledge doesn't allow for new information, claims, juicier targets, and so on, so no, I won't be signing that.

It's unusual to find something highly suspicious on D1, even more unusual is not voting for it. What's up?

This sounds like fun, just a test message or a hidden meaning? I can only guess it's from, or referring to, Double A.

Oki. Being all new to a board and its members is tricky. I'm trying to navigate the waters here, but I feel like I don't have too much to go on on a lot of you. I just spent some time going through all the posts, sorting them and seeing if I can pick up on something regarding particular players. This is where I'm at so far:

Lightfoot - To begin with I thought there was a lot of posting about game mechanics and not so much about the game itself. I liked the comments about scum's possibility to tie a vote in order to receive a no lynch. That seems like a reflected comment to me that is positive for town. Has a vote on Lulz. Also perceptive about the anonymous message and the fact that there are two players in the game with battery-related names.

guiri - Engaging and perceptive. Has pointed out several important things in the game. First to vote lulz for placing a vote with no other comments. Has a good recent observation that hasn't been responded to yet. I want to see a response before commenting further.

Archangel - Voted DoubleA early. Made a good post on why he voted. I liked the thought process behind that post.

ATPG - Only player I knew in advance. So far this game you have managed to confuse me completely. There are a lot of jokes and humor. I promised myself I would not tinfoil on you D1 this game, so I'll just keep watching and see where you go from here.

Mahaloth - I thought the reaction to the initial vote on him from Guiri could be read as a bit defensive. Has a vote on lulz.

SisterCoyote - Not much content yet. Mostly fluff in my opinion.

Zeener Diode - A lot of voting/unvoting. Not much else. Looking for reactions?

I have left off a bunch of players where I couldn't find anything in particular to comment on. Most of their posts so far have been either fluff or what I read as joke vote/unvotes.

(If I have any of you as "him" or "her" and it's wrong, I apologize. It's not always easy to make out in nicknames )

For the record, when I first met Visor in a game his first comment to me was also a vote. I remember it well

Just dropping in D1 for a vote and leaving is a thing I've seen plenty of people do. Of course, it might be different from where you're from (presumably Salem, MA).

In and of itself, the post is suspicious. However suspicious does not always equal scummy, particularly on Day one, so I'm withholding my vote until I hear from lulz again, rather then jumping on the bandwagon.

"Surprisingly springy?"

It's actually not all that surprising. It has been said that Sario has more jump than a box of frogs. It's been said, he has more spring than the month of April. He's got more bounce than an inflatable castle. More hop than hip-hop. He's more skippy than peanut butter.

I've pushed for the "male" and "female" icons to identify players' genders in the past. Now it's more fun to mistake them. I'm gonna take a stab and assume that you are female... right? BTW, I'm a male, despite what Pizza or Meeko may have you believe.

dear Mod-- Will we be privy to tie breaking rules? And is it one vote at a time?
I meant to ask. Where does this vote count come from?
I'll step in for the mod: http://www.giraffeboards.com/showthread.php?t=22326

Yes, my vote is serious although not strong. Double A started both "votes" (one was in black so I don't think it's a real vote) with "Anyway." The first vote seemed to be a joke, and then the second vote is "lynch the lurker" with a jokey justification.
I don't really have a problem with the votes - joke votes d1 are pretty normal. I do wonder a bit about the second one though, for lurking. I have no problems with lynch-the-lurker, but why single out idrinkthere4iam? At least one other person hadn't posted yet either (namely, me ).

Guiri's vote on lulz, well, lulz played exactly the same way in the last game I played with him and he was town then so <insert shrug shoulders smiley here>

What the hell are you on about? This is clearly me:

And I'm still pretty convinced that you're Wesker dressed up like a Sith Lord.

That's clearly Bill Belichick, who is an actual IRL Sith Lord. I did not modify that image in any way*.

I didn't miss it, and if I'm not mistaken his rapid vote/unvote covered most if not all the players who hadn't already been voted in the game. For that reason I didn't read anything into it.

I am indeed female.

Do I know Meeko from elsewhere? I didn't think so, and Pizza hasn't been trying to say you're female yet. You got there before him to clear it up.

This is useful information. Thanks. I've also been waiting for lulz to come in and talk to us some more.

To my eyes it looks like I was right in thinking Pizza voted those who had not already been voted.

, again.

What the hell, Pizza? Some reason you have for needing everyone to have or have had a vote on them?

Well take it with a pinch of salt since the three people voting him right now all also played in that same game. It's honestly a bit mystifying to me since unexplained votes were basically his "thing" in that game.
