Yes, she did. She was also married to John Astin for a time and the mother of Rudy Samwise. (That should hurt DrDeth's brain if he sees it)

Also, the guy who played the governor on Benson, James noble, died. He was 94.

Yep, identical cousins, that's it.

I remember snippets of the theme song. "They walk alike, they talk alike, sometimes they even [blank] alike" . . . "but they're cousins, identical cousins da da da da [something something] two of a kind."

. . . talk alike. You can lose your mind, when cousins are two of a kind!

Not that I was in the habit of watching The Patty Duke Show. Apparently some earworms are utterly unavoidable.

A neighbor's intestine was nicked during a colonoscopy. He didn't die from the infection but he was in the hospital for quite awhile. Maybe something like that is what happened with her.

The show was fun, because of the naughty cousin. In the early 60's, the only naughty kid on TV was Eddie Haskell on Leave It to Beaver. It was cool, seeing a girl being kind of rebellious, adventurous.

And the camera work showing double characters was a novelty too, so there's that.

I quite liked this show but I preferred another one from roughly the same era, Karen.

But Patty Duke's wiki page is incredibly sad.

For those of us who play this game I'm thinking about a new rule for 2017, and want some feed back on what you all think.

Currently people on Death Row are eligible for points, if they die by other than state sanctioned execution. I was thinking about putting those inmates off limits period. Why give those @#$%^& any more publicity than they already have?

I feel a little guilty about this, because last year I got points for such a person, and I currently have a DR inmate on my 2016 list.

Should sentiment go against have DR inmates, I'll give up any points for the guy currently on my list. If you all don't have anything against having inmates on the list, then I'll keep those points should they become available this year. However, I won't have the inmate on next years list.

So, what do players think?

I'm okay with death row inmates continuing to be eligible... it's nice to have potential feel-good points available. I don't have the leader of ISIS on my list to get him publicity.

God damn it. I love his music.

Tom and I were planning on going to his and Willie Nelson's tour "Django and Jimmie" this year, but it got cancelled when Merle got double pneumonia. Last I heard, he was doing better!

Crap.
