Night Two -- Monster Manual Mafia
Jeopardy Contestant is lynched.

Night Two will end on Tuesday 9 October, at 12 noon California time. |

Wow. That's a lot of power. Why wasn't he playing?
|

|

I think he was, at least using powers?
2. Disintegrate: once per game at Night, you may target another player. That player will die, unless they are protected, or you are blocked or redirected. 6. Fear: once per game during the Day, you may use this power. Two players will be subject to the lynch, instead of one, based on the vote count and tie breakers. And any other we couldn't see the obvious results of. |

That is a lot of power and it could explain the two lynches on D1? What do you think?

I concur; the question in front of us (iocaine included) is whether he used any of his other powers.

Well, he did say he had nothing to report.

Telekinesis would account for me getting the message about Gazebo.

2. May account for one of the deaths N1
5. May explain why Owlbear got results from a power he didn’t claim. 6. May account for one of the Lynches D1 and on preview I am spouting old news |

My power yields no information, and is completely passive. However, Purple Worm, if you target me with a power, you are likely to get through my defenses.
Onna Role, Bahamut, Ogre Jelly: you will not get through, so it is not in your best interest to target me with powers. Everyone else: It's possible, but I cannot say for sure without knowing who shall target me. |

Either the power is passive but limited, and he cannot control who can and who cannot get through, or he is not telling the truth about the power being passive. There's probably a third option but I'm too dim to come up with it just at the moment. And while we're throwing WiFoM out there, my power is also primarily passive. |

Ah, found my third option: his ability is somehow related to those who have voted him.

I'm a-gonna guess that Jeopardy Contestant, having used his powers and found only Town dead, decided that, with that kind of luck in choosing, he'd better lay low.
Or somethin'. |

Yeah, pretty much exactly that.
Already an awful lot of blue on that list. |

How so ? I didn't vote him at any time, nor has he voted for me

my definition of passive ( i mean the one I go by )"accepting or allowing what happens or what others do, without active response or resistance."
How can selected players be influenced as stated by Alan with this definition? unless he gets a randomized list? curiouser and curiouser |

So 15 remaining living players, with a Monster:Hero ratio somewhere between 2:1 and 4:1? Unless there was mention in the set-up threads about how many Heroes there would be? In a slower-paced game, I would guess we'd have three more mislynches before the Heroes would claim victory? But there have been five deaths in two cycles, and if that rate kept up we would be down to 10 players at the end of N3 and 5 at the end of N4. I'm guessing that's unlikely. Still, we need a good Vig action and/or to limit our mislynches. |

I ruffled some feathers so if I die tonight
We now know the wagon on me was not to save a Hero Jeopardy. Could it have been to prevent Mordenk***** or Alan_T**** from getting too close to the noose? The rockin’ and rollin’ didn’t start until after I voted Morden and continued after Erinyes joined me . Roving Mauler D2:88 Erinyes D2:122 Eater of Socks D2:127 Alan_T multiples including D2:180, and N2:10 And to a lesser degree Bahamut seemed to understand Erinyes/Eater of Socks. My point was that I did not have anything useful, and as I stated D2:204 “ If I ask someone to take off their shoes, I should be barefoot” You ,misread/ didn’t really read what I said - |

Maybe not the best thing to ask for answers at Night, but for follow-up the next Day, I agree to keep this in mind. @Mordenkainen - did you ever figure out your vote picture for yesterDay? And you said ( http://www.giraffeboards.com/showpos...&postcount=254 ) that Owlbear's vote for Kali seemed like a town action to you. Could you elaborate a little? |

To take the Owlbear vote on Kali first. Owlbear voted for Kali in post D02.058. The main reason was because if Kali was modkilled another Monster player would also be killed. There was (and is) no support for that in the rules. Given that, I found myself agreeing with comments by Alan Tudyk in post 244.[quote=Alan T}Owlbear looks very good for town for his Kali vote. No-lynch had me suspecting him earlier, but the Kali vote tells me he's alone, and thus much less likely to be a hero.[/quote]Primarily, that if Owlbear were a hero, they might have had that misapprehension cleared by discussion in the Hero board. So, until contrary evidence appears, I tend to believe Owlbear is Town. Yes, I finished a vote tracking spreadsheet for Yesterday. I find the exercise of compiling my own helps me retain at least some of the activity that goes on during a game Day. |

Eater of Socks said: I *think* I know what Erinyes is asking about, but I'm not positive. I don't want us losing a good monster over it. Broken down, my response was: I *think* I know what Erinyes is asking about Me: OK but I'm not positive Me: Fair enough I don't want us losing a good monster over it Me: Agreed. |
