Reading between the lines in the announcement of that recent event, it appears that was released to both threaten and appease Russia. Pointing out how no treaty was violated because... was pretty smart. Along with the threat for battlefield superiority (Ukraine mess) for Putin to consider now. This had to be published at the request of the military.
