Question: when did my emoticon (my SOLE claim to fame in this earthly life) get renamed from "rigs" to "paranoia"? That emoticon is not expressing paranoia. That little blue head (a thing of beauty and I will always be grateful) perfectly encapsulates the sour acceptance that yet again the world will disappoint, that the glass is half empty and likely spat in, that already lowered expectations were too high.

It has nothing to do with paranoia. How do we fix this? TIA.

Yeah, that's kinda weird- when I open the 'Show All Smilies' box it says 'rigs' but when I just hit the drop-down list on Quick Reply it says 'paranoia'.

Edit: And as 3acres says, when you click 'paranoia' from the drop-down list it shows up as 'rigs' in the text box.

It's because it went away and came back, I think. The code to use it is : rigs: but the name is probably what was attached to it when it was reintroduced. A lot of the emoji have different names than the code that invokes them, like Hit the [More] button and mouse over the emoji to get their names, most are very different from the code.

I have another request. We have an emoji that flips the bird, and one that shows "peace out". Could we have a fingers crossed one? It's hopeful, and (hopefully) many of us have things to look forward to (or at least we're no longer actively dying etc).

I like to make them. I wish it was easy to make the background transparent. It's way too complicated with the dumb software I have.

I'm a bit anal when it comes to smileys on my site. Nothing animated, all the same size, so folks can use them inline while preserving line height.

A lot of the smileys I use are Apple emojis, but flipped on the horizontal axis so they "read" from left to right. In XF, a 44x44 smiley can display in the space of a 22x22 on a retina display. Here's the train emoji I use.



If you were thinking old-timey choo-choo, there's this.



Or you could get all nerdy and insist on something like this.



This seems more in keeping with GB.
