Well, if I hadn't bothered with make-up, I wouldn't have been alone, lol! There were a couple folks whose GAF was a little low. I did indeed wear pants, but they were sweat pants.😁

The store was out of the ground version of my coffee, so I had to buy whole bean. Which means I have to grind some each day before I start making coffee. The good news is they had enough whole bean to last me a few weeks, so I don't go into withdrawal.

When I'm not using the Keurig, I actually prefer to grind my own. Whole beans stay fresh longer than pre-ground, or at least that has been my experience. I drink a lot of coffee (probably too much), so it's not like it sits there for a long time either.

I have a craving for a particularly weird treat but we don't have any here. Hubby is at the store getting some milk and other needed items but didn't take his phone, so I can't call him and ask him to pick some up.

snogdog need his claws trimmed if dogs have claws and not nails. Are all claws retractable? Whichever, I can't trim them and as it is nonessential it's not going to be done. Tappy tappy toes.

File! File! Everyone should file even if they have no taxable income, file a return for 2019 and you'll be eligible. It looks like if you're receiving SSI it's not necessary, but everyone else should

ya, I need to do my taxes. I have a huge block with not wanting to. need to. maybe Monday morning? not planning to work until 12:30 Monday so, yes, I could plan to do it tomorrow morning. right?

right?

I know, I should be doing it now. instead I am drinking wine and over-eating.

I'm having a hard time getting my W2 from the glass company in Prescott. Tomorrow I'm offering to drive up and get it or I've got to go through the IRS.

P.S. I'm not 100% certain the problem is with the glass company. The friend of Khampelf who is still living in his house is a very unpleasant person. (He had Khampy walking on eggshells in his own home while he was dying of cancer levels of unpleasant.) And he doesn't much care for me because I refuse to be cowed by his subtle bullying.

Remember Spider Queen? Her ex. Apparently twenty years ago he was a stand up guy. Some people life turns bitter. And they make life bitter for everyone around them. Khampy did a favor for and old friend. Took in him and his teen son. He repaid by making Khampelf feel guilty for listening to music of having movie night. During his last days. Since Khampelf passed he's ran off everyone else and moved his family in. He was the reason Khampelf's cat's had to leave with the rest of the roommates.

He you go back and read Khampy's old post he is referred to as R. Knowing this even though Khampy was always polite you can read between the lines that R was the disrupting force in the house.

I don't know how much Bruce knows. I do know he doesn't like him. The house wasn't completely out of probate before Khampelf died . And I believe it's still tied up for Bruce and his hands are tied for the moment. Not that I've had this conversation with Bruce but it's the impression I get.

[nano]I think I'm coming down with a cold. Kinda heavy head, if that makes sense, and sinuses that feel as if they're starting to clog up.[/nano]

Details:

No, no headache, fever, coughing, sore throat or trouble breathing. It seems to be a standard common cold, which sucks, because now I have to self-quarantine,* due to taking methotrexate, which lowers the immune system (fuck arthritis).

*Remember my location. Very little is shut down here, crowds up to 50 are still allowed, K-8 is open. People in neighboring countries are looking at us in horror, but :fingers crossed: so far it seems to be working about as well - or bad - as in countries totally locked down.

I can't manage seaweed. Maybe because I associate it with mounds of seaweed on the beach, which is not appealing.

I talked with Roomie twice about whether he could make the rent and how we could get through the month. First time we tossed around ideas for cheaper food, phone, and utilities. Next time he was No! It'll be fine because reasons!
Today, the not-first, he came up with less than half the rent. I understand about difficulty with earnings, but srsly, could we not have stuck with a plan?

I have time to take a walk before work - and should, and the weather is perfect - but I've just spent the last 90 minutes drinking coffee and decaf tea so I'd have to pee during the walk and I hate that.

@stormie did your roommate figure out something or is he just going to sponge off of you until the pandemic is over?

I feel like they do that on purpose, to prevent people stealing bread in the store or opening it up? All I know is, the brands of bread and bagels we buy are always twisted on the wrong way...

He's doing deliver as an independent contractor for one of those companies . . . grubhub or something, so he paid all the rent and I expect he will next month also. Thanks for thinking of it - we're fine, I swear.

The Cheesy Gordita Crunch goes off the Taco Hell menu regularly but I've always been able to get one, just sayin'.

I have a thumbnail that broke off below the quick and as it's growing out it's a real bear to keep trimmed well enough to stop it snagging on everything. Grr!

Give it a dab of crazy glue and lay on a small patch of fine weave synthetic cloth. It will stay on for a couple of weeks if you use Gorilla brand (the cheap stuff isn't worth a damn).

It's such a small area and I have already clipped it down such that there's nothing to stick any crazy glue to. I just have to spend a fair amount of quality time with clippers and emery boards fucking with it and that annoys me.

TODAY'S RANT: Time Warner Cable had an Android app where you could watch a handful of channels on your phone on home Wi-Fi, and an even smaller number you could watch on LTE. But the main thing was, you could view, delete or schedule DVR recordings with the app. Since Charter bought TWC, they've slowly removed all DVR functionality. As of the last app update, you can't even schedule recordings any more. How has five years passed and we have LESS FUNCTIONALITY in an app than we did in 2015?

Soooo I'm signed up for this carshare thing through AARP (yes, the geezer plan). It was worth signing up for AARP and the service because of discounts on a couple services I use, including this one. Annual renewal comes up. Full amount is due; I should be paying less than half that. Call support (no email available). The person answering says, yes, that is the discount, but since my statement says the full amount, I must owe the full amount.

That don't make no sense.

I exploded a plate. I usually warm up a plate on the back burner while cooking. But this time I got distracted and turned it to high instead of low. I must say, it held out amazingly well for a cheapie with a chipped edge. The burner was red hot before it blew. At least it didn't end up in my bacon & eggs.

So now we're down to one plate. I was going to pop over to Goodwill to restock our eclectic collection but apparently they are not an essential business. I have a couple of stainless steel plates in the camp gear. Maybe I should get steel ones for the shack too.

First of all, for being a dumbass. ()

Second, it's weird what businesses are called "essential". As far as I know the Walmarts are all open so if you're desperate for something right now just do that. Of course, then you have to intermingle with the People of Walmart, which is an experience even in the best of times. OTOH if it can wait, just Amazon it.
