*But of course he didn't *really* respond to me, because I was talking about the trilogy as a whole, not individual films: you don't have to be an Abrams fanboy to think the three movies together just don't work. In fact, I'm not sure how it follows at all that thinking the trilogy as a whole is a "hot mess" makes one an Abrams fanboy since he directed the first and last installments. Doesn't follow at all...
