Returning to Normalcy...
I will preface this to say that I am fully vaccinated as is all my family.
I went to my first concert since 2019 this past week. It was held drive in movie style and it was awesome. Everyone had space and it was a great show. 2 weeks ago we went to a farmers market and spent a good amount of time there comfortably. I still keep a mask in my pocket for when it is required, but I am very thankful for how many people are being vaccinated and allow us to go back to enjoying some things we could not before. Things I certainly took for granted. Thanks everyone. |

I went to an outdoor concert that had a special “vaccinated only” section.
When I’m at the grocery store and it’s sparsely populated I don’t mask. I still wash my hands as soon as I return and when I’m done putting the groceries away. I still stay 6ft from people out of habit. I felt safe enough to fly across the country (masked) last month. We ate in a restaurant indoors, unmasked last month. We had the whole section to ourselves though. I’m still working from home, though I’m allowed in the building again. I’m avoiding the air conditioning as long as possible. |

Both I and my husband have been fully-vaxxed for awhile now, and we've been cautiously eating indoors at restaurants occasionally. We take care to go early when the place is uncrowded, and leave before too many people show up.
Tomorrow I will return to my real office, so today I have to pack up the firm's computer, scanner, monitor, etc. in preparation for returning. It'll be awhile before showering daily, styling my hair, putting on makeup, wearing work clothes and closed shoes feels "normal", not to mention my longish commute and having assorted people in my face for eight hours a day. |

Back in the office full time as of today. I did my meal prep yesterday for the first time in more than a year. Trying to find the brush picks I have here for the kale that gets stuck in my teeth. Talking across the room at people. Got to remember to re-program the thermostat at home. Hoping the cats get used to me being gone 40 hours a week. Liz will be fine, but Sandy is a rebellion pooper.
