I hate McDonald's whiney voice and think he ruined the Doobies. But there are much better BW songs and this is going nowhere, but slow.
No vote. |

I'm boycotting this alongside my esteemed graphitic colleague. They both suck. The only good Michael McDonald song is "Eyes of a Child" from South Park: BLU:
"But through the Eyes of a Child The World seems magical. There's a sparkle in their eyes, They've yet to realize, The darkness in their soul." |

Well, I am the opposite. I like Michael McDonald and I think the Doobs were doing ok, but made a big comeback when he joined the band.
I guess I'm the fool that believes? |

A weak Doobie Brothers' hit vs. a Barry White song where at least he's singing. I'm far more likely to listen to Barry's song if it came on the radio.
Also one of these songs could help me rescue the snakes of Springfield. |

"I'm Gonna Love You Just a Little More Baby" is the kind of song you don't mind getting voted out in Round 1 and "What a Fool Believes" is the kind of song you don't mind getting voted out in Round 2. So obviously the job at hand here is to vote for "What a Fool Believes". Sometimes megapoll is really easy.

Listened to both. What tipped the scales for me was that the musicians on WAFB sound bored - they're just going through the motions. At least Barry and his band are putting their heart into it.

I like these about equally, and I do like them both!

I really like What A Fool Believes. I like the story in the lyrics and how everybody plays the fool, sometimes, and we don't realize it, and no one can talk us out of it.
McDonald is a really good vocalist, so good that Steely Dan (famous for their persnickititiousness in the studio, the whole video but especially 4:11) had him multi-track some of the lyrics to Peg years before auto-tune, check 6:22. |

Hey @Jackie, I replied to your private message at least three times, but my Sent box show no such sending. Please tell me if you got it (them.) If so, I guess it worked. If not, I have to ask the Mods why I can't sent (or Reply To) a Private Message.

@Pogo, when you sent the messages, did you make use of the "Additional Options" at the bottom of the "Send New Private Message" window? One of them is "Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder". This box is checked by default for me based on another setting somewhere in CP, but if this box isn't checked when you send the PM then it won't show up in your Sent folder.

I did not check that! But it is interesting to note that the Quick Reply doesn't offer that. But you make me feel more confident that Jackie got (three) copies (or more) of that reply!

That’s an accurate, succinct description; I’ll have to remember it as it can apply to bad porno also.
