Kat Loses Pie Privileges

It is rumored Kat has reportedly been denied access to pie following an alleged mitten-loss incident.

More on the story as it develops...

The alleged mittens are said to be bright blue with a snowflake pattern and to have been gifted to Ms. Kat by a Mister S Claus, after which they reportedly danced around the Christmas tree singing a jolly song.

Ms. Kat's two sisters, Kit and Kut, are also said to be involved.

What kind of pie?

If chocolate is involved I don't believe you and need proof.

You will need a hat as well, Miss. Kat.
Where is your hat?

It should be on top of your head when outside, and not on top of your head when inside. This is so is it not?

My hat is in the bowl by the door with my masks and my keys and the wallet with the broken strap that my niece made for me.

And yes, that is so.

This \is very true.

It has been proven so in the literature of our fore-fahers and fore-mothers and also in the literature of the prophets.

A spokesman for the Cat Community has spoken out against Kat's mitten-loss.

"We are appalled," Miss Wilhelmina Fluffykins told the Associated Press. "Such behavior is completely un-jellicile."

How awful! Is there a local chapter of the Kittens without Mittens support group she can reach out to?

They say they have a 12-step program, but it just looks like a bunch of cats licking themselves to me.

They say they have a 12-step program, but it just looks like a bunch of cats licking themselves to me.
The 12 steps start with licking the right paw, and rubbing the right ear with it, then you lick the left paw, and rub your left ear with it, then you lick your right paw again and rub your nose with it. Repeat for the left paw. 4 steps right there. If you have a cat, you'll see the other 8, and they repeat them over and over again.

They have a '12 step program', but, damn, it's boring if you're not a cat...

In a recent interview on ANIMAL PLANET, Kat dismissed her critics as "a bunch of pussies" having "hissy fits" and insisted she doesn't like pie anyway.

She also kept bringing up Hunter Biden's laptop...

In an effort to promote the adoption of tau as the new standard for all things circle adjacent top scientists would like to remind all undecided felines that tau is twice as big as pi and has no mitten related restrictions associated with it.
Upon closer inspection I should’ve used some commas , , , there, that should cover it.

Maggie always loved pie -- to the point that my mother couldn't just leave one out to cool on the counter. She'd have to build a little cage around it with cookie racks so Maggie wouldn't eat all the crust.

Maggie and Felix would have been kindred spirits. Felix isn't interested in chicken or fish, but he ate a Cheeto right out of MD's hand last week. And he took a tortilla chip fragment from me. Once he ate uncooked rice. That didn't agree with him, so fortunately he hasn't repeated it.

Puddin', the cat I had in the 90s used to love peas. Whenever I was eating them, he'd come up and tap me on the elbow to say 'give me one'. Fresh, canned, or frozen, cooked or raw, he loved them.

And immediately after posting that, I thought to Google and... Yes, there is a recipe online for Amish Bread Pie. It seems to be basically bread pudding in pie form.

It was apparently popular with the Amish during the Depression, when everyone was looking for ways to stretch their food budget. Its main ingredients are bread, pie crust, milk, sugar, and cinnamon.

Go check it out if you're so inclined...

Puddin' would probably have voted for 'pea pie' AND 'pea bread'. He would certainly have eaten pot-pies, as long as they had plenty of peas in them.

Cake is inferior to pie, and chocolate cake is doubly inferior because it's a substandard use of chocolate. Seldom do chocolate cakes possess the richness and depth of flavor that they should. There are far too many insipid chocolate cakes in this world, masquerading as something delicious but ultimately tasting of flour, sugar, and broken promises.

Chocolate pudding cake, with rich dark chocolate buttercream frosting, is as close to heaven as anyone could want. (And this coming from a self-proclaimed pie aficionado.)

Dark chocolate tuxedo cake is also rich and delicious. But I’ve been burned by far, far more bad chocolate cakes than subpar pies.
Chocolate cake is good when it’s good but it’s not good often enough.

Why don't we all settle around the chocolate cake, eat the chocolate, and just make a vanilla cake with what's left? Seems like a good compromise to me.

I’ve been craving lemon meringue since I dreamed about baking it last weekend. (except in the dream I was also making omelettes and I mixed up the meringue with the omelette eggs and everything went pear shaped)

I always LOVED my grandmother's peach pie, and whenever she'd make some, she'd always make sure to come over and bring me a piece.

True 'dat. Why is it that they'll be uber-picky when it comes to cat food, but if it's something we're eating, they'll can't get enough?
